Also, just need Belgium to win now for my triple to come in, and Germany for my quad.... may cash out the quad if Germany start winning tbh.

Pretty much my thoughts as well. Welbeck is worth a mention - he was great in the first half when the game was more open. I must admit I thought he was poor in the friendlies but he showed some real quality last night, particularly in winning the ball back and starting breaks.

If we line up like that again do you think Barkley should start ahead of Rooney down the left? Or would that leave us even more exposed? I think he's better at taking the ball forward and beating a man, but won't make the same intelligent runs into the box or have the same range of passing as Wayne.

With Rooney your always going to get that killer pass, not sure Barkley can do the same. So difficult decision. He is great at running at players and his movement is better. I probably would play him ahead of Rooney as you need someone there that will track back and defend. Rooney did not do that enough and we simply do not have room for any luxury players.

Rooney often does back track a lot though, the conditions in Manaus probably played a part.

Nigeria Iran: laying Nigeria for £635 @ 1.97
Germany Portugal: laying the draw for £203 @ 3.7
Ghana USA: laying Ghana for £397 @ 2.52
Belgium Algeria: laying Belgium for £847 @ 1.48

I am not just "backing the favourite". That is a rapid road to ruin.

Total P&L so far on settled bets: £1,245.36

Dunno man, massively high pressure situation, a lot of adrenaline etc. A lot of people get like that, I know when I'm stressed I tend to snap at people, doesn't excuse it as poor form but it's understandable imo.

Not sure if Portugal are poor, or the Germans are superb.

They look really dangerous, no mistakes (so far).

Chilly has a raking-it-in problem, and don't you deny it.

If Portugal can sort their decision making in the final third out they could get a goal or two here.

I can't see Portugal getting out of the group after this result. Germany haven't given them so much as a sniff of a chance rwally

"So we just spent years qualifying for this thing, and almost didn't make it? Let me just ruin this for everyone in my nation and let everyone down!"

What a complete asshat Pepe! Sweden should have gone through, they'd have been much more enjoyable to watch

Germany are just so efficient. And their squad is just so physical.

Feel sorry for Cristiano though!

Does anyone find the "Brasil, Brasiiiiil" jingle ITV play before and after adverts really irritating?
