What the fuck why did they show an advert when the goal was scored???

I wrote this in caps

I wrote my complaint in the other thread in caps too and it came out sounding far more civilised :(

ITV should be banned from broadcasting football matches.

@ Chet

Just watching the england game now and there seems to be a few 'crap' cameras. Long range ones by the looks of things.

In discussing the match after the first goal - I said to the people I'm watching with - we'll find a way to Henman it somehow.

How I hate being right sometimes :p

ITV did the same thing when Everton played Liverpool in the FA Cup about 2 seasons ago.

0-0 in extra time, then with about a minute or two left they jumped to the adverts, at the exact same time that Everton scored the winning goal.

Bunch of wankers.

To be fair the feed coming from the stadium is the responsibility of the 1 main local broadcaster usually. I'm really surprised the HD feeds haven't been installed considering those ***** (South Africans) had ages to prepare for this global 'spectacle'.

Instead there are villages having electricity installed in them. Not being funny, but the main priority should be the tournament. They've clearly got their priorities wrong. No wonder they're dying of AIDS.

rant over.

Yeah, I was watching some Hyundai crap and then suddenly the screen went black and it cut back to the game. 1-0 and a bunch of people celebrating.

Heskey straight at Keeper :p

He's not known for his prodigious goal scoring, but at least it was on target and hit hard -- more a good save than a bad effort. And how about all of his running, closing down, holding the ball up, laying it off and winning flick ons? He was the best player on the pitch.

At least we didn't lose :(

Just need to make sure we don't make any silly mistakes against Algeria or Slovenia now

He ran about like a walrus on heat, best player yes, but that was a disappointing England performance.

Lennon and Johnson were impressive on the other flank. Rooney didnt seem to turn up. Heskey played well but he still cant finish. I feel bad for Green, i just hope the media dont overreact to it and shake him up, it'll shoot the team in the foot, hopefully they keep it to being the freak accident it was and forget about it.

He lost about 2 dribbles you moaning arsehole, as soon as he came on that side of pitch came into the game a lot more.

Green was just unlucky every player makes mistakes unfortunately for a goal keeper those mistakes usually come with a goal. I hope the media don't murder him

Overall it wasn't the terrible performance everyone makes out.

We came up against a very good USA side that weren't push overs everyone thought they would be.

What A Load Of Shite.

3 managers, 3 failures of imagination. Does someone have to take Lampard or Gerrard outside and have them shot before the England manager stops playing them both in the same team? Ignoring Green's fuckup (which was pitiful but not unexpected), the huge, gaping, yawning hole in midfield was the source of all England's woes. No link play between the back and the front, so route one becomes the default choice; Gerrard getting in front of Rooney and Heskey half the time, getting outpassed through the middle by American journeymen who wouldn't get into any Champions League level team. Fucking pathetic. That was actually worse the four years ago. The only ray of hope was down the right. And I couldn't believe Capello's post-match interview; was he watching a different game? Maybe a different sport?

No, actually the USA were pretty rubbish as well. England just made them look good.
