This is why we are shit as a nation of supporters. We take our best players, and instead of supporting them, we call them shit.
Nah. We're shit because of that wanky fucking drum band shit.

Ah right so we are taking people who were good a year ago? Sounds like an awesome plan, if thats how its done Jagealka (god how do you spell his name?) should be going as well. Rio *used* to be good, he isn't anymore, certainly not world class by a long shot. I mean come on, fucking Carrick after his season? Or is he going because he was also good a year ago?
So basically you are saying we are taking him because there is no one else, thats utter bollocks my friend. We are taking him and taking him as captain, thats the joke. I don't watch every game so I don't know who else there is, thats not my job, its the job of the coaches but I reckon out of all the teams that play and are watched there is 10 better people to take instead of Rio.
Like I said, Man Utd supporters will always blindly defend the decision, its a shame they aren't more realistic like the Arsenal fans who agree that Theo shouldn't of gone (according to Talk Sport).
Upson over Dawson. You're right about Johnson over SWP but SWP can play both sides well. Carrick (as much as I hate him) over Parker/Huddlestone. Warnock over Baines (who shot himself in the foot by being shit and then publicly admitting he was worrying about being homesick) and Defoe over Bent (definately, and I'm no Defoe fan).
So. Apart from the possible Johnson/SWP thang (and the fact that I'd flip a coin for Dawson/Upson as I think they're both a bit poo) we think the exact opposite there![]()
Sol Campbell
The Americans will shock the world.
Hold on, you were saying Rio has been shit for years. I showed that's flat wrong. As for his current form, in the games he's played, he's been fine, and is still the first choice CB for the team with the lowest goals against in England this season. I don't disagree about Carrick at all btw, except with Barry partially fit the cupboard is pretty bare in the DM slots.
And are unable to name a better CB to replace him.......
You were the one who said he was good the season before last my friend not me, read my post I said "he *used* to be good". Actually take away Vidic and Rio is very average indeed, Vidic is an awesome defender.
2 CB = Michael Dawson, Ryan Shawcross (Shawcross is not world class but he's better than Rio going off the previous season). If you will argue about the experience thing then as Cal said Sol is better than Rio at the minute.
See above.
Next question?
Dawson better than Ferdinand? LOL, jesus wept. And Shawcross was okay, he's not ready to be a CB in the senior squad, he may be if he carries ont he way he is going. Experience is a big part of being a defender, none of those you mentioned have the technical ability or experience to replace Rio.
So you'd honestly have a CB pairing of Dawson and Shawcross over Ferdinand and Terry? Brilliant, we should make you manager, then no one would be surprised when we flop.
edit:// also when fit this season, Rio was playing great. If he is fit now then he is no worse than last season. If you've not watched every game he's played this season then you really should go and watch some highlights before making such ridiculous claims.

One year ago isn't "early Man Utd". One year ago he was in the best CB partnership in the world, therefore you're wrong. Q.E fuckin D. And Ferdinand was/is in no way carried by Vidic. In fact in the only game where United got things dramatically wrong, it was Vidic, not Ferdinand, who got repeatedly skinned by Torres.Trem said:he used to be good (at Leeds and early Man Utd)

Oh, and he supports Leeds like me
:kissit:
Take that!!!
BBC Sport - Football - World Cup 2010: England announce squad numbers
James, Crouch and Cole all got first 11 squad numbers.
I'm about to create a new infraction named 'arguing with Tremmybabes'... you can't argue with Trem because he is a GOD!

:kissit:
An infraction for saying Leeds fans are wrong? Hell, how many infractions would I get if I told all the facts about Leeds fans?
Yeah, but it's something to talk about
I still think Hart is more likely to be our starting keeper. As for Crouch and heskey, it depends entirely on the formation and opposition.
Personally I think it was a mistake to take Barry.
I didn't realise it was already over!

Who can we use to fill in for Rio if its serious?
