Help Windows 8

On a more serious note I cannot get Java to work - I installed it - it looks enabled everywhere but it wont even load the java based vpn I need for work

Are you sure java is at fault? Something changed between 7 and 8 to do with networks. We have a ClearPath VPN solution in work, based on OpenVPN, this no longer works on 8 but functions fine on 7.

Could be that - hard to know tbh - I'm going to take it up with tech support at work to see if they have any ideas.

Yeah but right away I read the start bar isn't the same so I'll be interested to see what it exactly is.

Wow, Microsoft have apparently gone all out and listened to their customers. Why couldn't they do that with the Xbox One? Might look into upgrading in time for the update...

Before everyone gets too keen if this is what they were talking about in work this is just a permanent button that takes you to the metro screen. The same button you had before but there all the time?
