We're talking sat in a train, watching them do it. It's not a case of seeing through their paedo dress code.

Besides, most paedophiles these days disguise themselves as schools.

I have an idea, lets make this camp with 'showers' free of charge. Shove in everyone looking arabian and dressed as a school. No more terrorists and pedos.

with all due respect, you guys make it sound like the UK is held together by fear and hate :( not you people personally, but the stories you tell. I really hope that isn't the case.

anyone who isn't white is a terrorist. anyone with a pro camera is either a terrorist or a pedo. the police who are there to help and protect you are all incompetent but fascistic bumblers. etc , etc. :(

Pretty much what i've gathered from all the threads too. Not to mention, everyone living on the dole should be shot and everyone who disagrees should be punched :eek7:

In many ways it is. It's partly why I'm looking to leave.

The UK is a generally unintelligent, right wing (borderline facist), shallow, selfish and self-centred country which blames the poor for its problems.

Serious homogenisation (brought on by unbridled capitalism) means that every city is practically the same experience - same pubs, bars, shops, entertainment (London "eye" anyone? Sounds like fun. Apart from the fact that's there's one in Nottingham, Sheffield, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, yadda yadda yadda).

The education system is now of such a low standard that many universities are no better than chav rutting stations pumping out swathes of people who'd previously have stopped studying at A-Level - with a degree which is worth about as much.

The media is laughably black and white, our politicians are elitist arseholes who couldn't engage the public in a meaninful fashion because the media would have a field day, the retard public wouldn't understand and they wouldn't really want to engage us anyway.

The photography thing is just one example of many things that are wrong with this country. We're increasingly authoritarian in all sorts of areas and the idiot public fully supportive (IMO humans are reasonably naturally right-wing and the dumber you are the more facist you become - you only have to witness the amount of "you should do anything the cops say" posts in response to this thread to see how the British think).

It's probably one of the pretties countries I've ever been to, but it's being spoiled (particularly the urban areas) by cheap-as-you-like architecture (cost is king - fuck what it looks like - even if you're effectively erecting what looks like a pre-aged ghetto).

Lastly, there's a misery-inducing slate-grey ceiling which rarely breaks long enough for us to see the sky, let alone get shone on by the sun. The longest period this year was a couple of gloriously sunny weeks in April - that was the British "summer". Yes, we can't control it, but there are natural reasons why this isn't the place to be.

Fuck Britain. Fuck its cops, it's government and most of its population. Don't come here, it's shite :)

Or, he was a terrified Train Spotter in fear of his life from a bunch bloodthirsty Sun readers. If this guy was such an obvious pedo, were the cops waiting for him at the next stop? When's the court case?

The man was taking photos of children inside a train on a carriage. My work mate was watching them do this in the most sneaky way possible. There was one guy acting as a look-out, signalling when he thought it was safe to snap pics of the kids. He could see the pictures on the phone. When challenged he burst into tears, apologised profusely and repeatedly and made a huge effort to show everyone he'd deleted the photos.

I'm not sure how that can be confused for anything BUT paedophilia. But continue with your baseless nonsense if it makes you feel more liberal.

How can there be a court case for this when you yourself said it's not illegal to take photos of kids like this? It may not be illegal but it's morally disgusting. Also, how can police be waiting at the next station when stations are less than 5 mins apart? Seriously, do you have any kind of reasonable thought process about this?

There were two of them?! My god... they're more advanced than we thought! How were they signalling?

Bleh, had a longish post written but can't be bothered with it. It's OK from a street photography point of view (anything goes as far as I'm concerned) but obviously if you're being all sneaky and covert about it and someone notices, then there are bound to be questions asked, and rightly so.

So, a guy takes a picture of his own daughter in Braehead, security called, the cops are called and a massive public shitstorm ensues. In your story there are two of them, taking surreptitious pictures of kids (for frankly what purpose I have no idea, if they get their jollies off pictures of kids in public places they may as well just watch CBeebies ffs ), one of whom apparently admits wrongdoing, and no-one is called? The train guard? A citizen's arrest? The Sun? Your mate repeatedly jumping up and down on this guy's (and his mate's) head? Nothing? The mere fact that there were two of them in cahoots is reasonable grounds for police involvement, but the people on the train just let them go? Did anyone even report them? Forgive me if find this story a little hard to credit.

Sigh, you're becoming a real chore. I can't possibly answer everything as I WASN'T THERE. I'm just passing on a relevant story to the thread from what I know about it. Whether you find it creditable or not is none of my concern, but it does come from a reliable person who doesn't make shit up. He's also a father. I can't answer whether they were reported or not, I don't know.

Your issues with bringing up "The Sun" constantly and suggesting thuggish violence really discredits everything you're saying. It's pathetic. Where are you pulling this irrelevant bullshit out? Why even? Because I think paedophillia is morally wrong? You also seem to be back tracking on whether or not it's acceptable to take photos of kids in public...

Maybe hearsay is a lousy way to illustrate a point m'kay? For all I know your whole story could be two blokes taking surreptitious pics of kids picking their nose to post on Youtube. You started with assertion that taking pictures of kids fully dressed in a public place qualitatively is no different to the act of child rape. I disagree.

Look at this way, there are hundreds of family pictures of my daughter on Facebook, posted by my partner to her Mum's network. I have no idea who's looking at those photos. If some weirdo was getting his jollies to those photos, would I be absolutely disgusted and want to rip his head off if I found out? Of course I would. Would my child have been harmed in any way? Of course not. The harm would be against me and my partner, not my child, so to somehow claim that guys with cameras taking photos in public, even if their intentions are dishonourable, is the same as "real" child abuse, is utterly ridiculous. If anything, its parent abuse.

All I care about is that no physical or mental harm comes to my child. If I live my life assuming everyone with a camera is a potential peado, as the media would seem to want me to believe (hence the Sun references, which are totally relevant), that's the fast track to paranoia and the loony bin.

What the fuck is that? Go on, quote me where I said taking photos of kids is the same as raping them.

You just made yourself look like a right twat. :D

Do you actually know what a paedophile is?

Yes, I said taking photos of kids by paedophiles/for them is wrong whether clothed or not.

Where the fuck did I say that was the same as raping them? Please? Idiot.

Okay then, define your degrees of wrongness.

So now you can't prove your baseless, inflammatory and libelous claim you try and pick holes in something completely different?

No ta. You're a boring arsehole. You very nearly reached my ignore list for making such a horrible claim towards me. No-one's ever been on there. I'd suggest reading and thinking before you go round accusing people of utter bullshit. Once again I think we need to highlight the utter shit you've spouted at me, because it's actually offensive to me:

You started with assertion that taking pictures of kids fully dressed in a public place qualitatively is no different to the act of child rape.

It's actually astonishing that you could say such a strong comment, and then take it back once it became clear to you that you were talking out of your own arse. Step away from the keyboard and take a look at yourself. Would you really behave in that way in real life? Make up shit about someone to enhance your argument? Pathetic. Not even bainteor, Toht or that child-abandoning WoW freak do that (or have done in Toht's case).

Aye, it is the internet. Wasn't expecting to see that kind of behaviour on here though, especially from someone who isn't normally a troll.

Oh get off it wazz, your initial claim was flaky and without detail. Gaffer took what you said and twisted it to extremes, but that happens all the time.
