Nice. Wonder how much they had to pay out for being, as you said, a bunch of insufferable cunts?

The Inspector attempted to justify his actions in shocking and absurd ways.

Seems like standard procedure for all cops, as far as I've ever experienced.

Is there a minimum IQ required to enter the police service?

Just for any of your camera fanatics out there if you film etc.. police officers making an arrest etc.. your camera can be confiscated for evidential purposes.

Are you 100% sure about that?

Are you sure it's the memory card and not the camera? Are you sure that they will request a copy if possible first before resorting to that?

You can still hit the edit button....

Slating in coming... but all that copper did was fall for her bullshit. She led them to that point the lady cop saw it coming and changed tact but the bloke did not. I don't see the point in slagging off the cops when they have to deal with people like that trying to trip them up. If she really had a reason to be filming there just say that, if she just went and stuck her camera under the cops nose to provoke a reaction then fuck her.

Thr woman in that top video is being deliberately confrontational. It's not like they've tried to take her csmera, they e just asked her to stop filming.

She could have just said I am legally allowed to film here without getting pissy and in that guys face.

She didn't really get pissy, she just asked why they wanted to move her on. It was only when bedwetter started talking bollocks did she shaft him.

It was none of their business what she was doing there.

I think you're both missing the point.

There is no law being broken, she has every right to do what she wants with her camera in this situation. I'd go so far as to say the police are wrongly harassing her.

They have no right. They may as well come up to you and tell you to shut your eyes because seeing things might be an act of terrorism. Bitch, please.

So even if she is just standing there sticking a camera in the cops face trying to cause that exact reaction she is an innocent victim? I wonder how many other people would just have to grin a bare it if some twat stuck a camera in their face while they were trying to work. That whole clip looks like her trying to get them to say the T word so she can try to sell the tape.

Yes. They're policemen, not judges or politicians. Its not their job to make up rules, just to enforce them. And at no point did she encourage constable meathead to say the "t" word, he came up with that line of bullshit all on his own. I really don't see how you can defend the police in that clip. Oh and as for "I wonder how many other people would just have to grin a bare it if some twat stuck a camera in their face while they were trying to work"; we all do, every fucking day. If its right to film the population constantly, its right to film the police as well; we're all in the panopticon or none of us are.

Yep.

If a girl wears a short skirt and cropped top and wanders around a city that she knows full well has a high incidence of rapists in and she gets raped, it's still 100% the rapists fault. She bears no culpability for the crime.

Arguably, she may have put herself in a situation which makes it much more likely for the crime to happen. However, the rapist is the criminal, not her.

If you video cops, at a whim, or even to provoke a reaction, that's not a crime. The cops can only get involved if a crime is occuring, otherwise they've zero right to interfere with the normal functioning of human beings one way or another, whether they like it or not.

You know what I will never see it your way. They are asking her not to film them not telling her she has been sold into slavery. What she did may not be illegal but she is still being a cunt. I hope if she ever needs the police they are too busy explaining the ways they "could" take a camera away. As in that clip it is not the same cop who talks about taking her camera away that brings up the T word.

I don't give a monkeys what language they used, or any of the other guff around it really. What I give a shit about is this:

They are asking her not to film

They've no right to do that. Period.

It's not "my way of seeing it" - it's her right to do that and a violation of her rights, by cops, to attempt to stop her.

And why are they asking her not to film them? What legitimitate reason could a police officer, in a public place, have for avoiding being filmed? Other than "they don't like it" (in which case, tough shit tbh; if they can't take public scrutiny they shouldn't have joined)

Exactly - plus that horse has long since bolted - the UK must be pretty much the most photographed state in the world - there are cameras everywhere - why worry about one more?

Yep soze, if you work in a public role you should be ready for public scrutiny. The handled the situation awfully, and these are in a job where they are meant to keep the peace.... clearly there is a reason they are only pcso's.

So you all think if it is not illegal it is fine? You should show no consideration to other peoples feeling or respect there wishes because what you are doing is your right?

You think it's ok for the police to make up laws because they object?

Are you for real?

No soze; but the police should be able to handle difficult situations with diplomacy and tact. Had they simply agreed with her that she was within her rights, but they were not happy to be filmed then they would have looked good and she would have probably stopped as she couldn't serve any agenda.

TBH I do not care all i saw in that clip is a Woman being purposefully difficult to try and trip them up, and she succeeded. Then as usual you get people calling the police uneducated and cunts. They did not rape her they did not take her camera and smash it. He was wrong to bring that up but it was not him that mentioned taking the camera in the first place. And I dont care if the police should now better the guy is a PCO and she was fishing. The only wrong I see in that video is her looking for trouble. And if you think that is OK for people to fuck about our police force just because it is there rights then fine but to me anyone do that is a waste of space plain and simple.

The underlying issue is they wanted her to turn the camera off. You can't give me a justification for that so its kind of irrelevant whether she was "fishing" or not; she wouldn't be able to do that if the police simply obeyed the law themselves. I'm really struggling to understand why you think either of the cops in that video have a leg to stand on since their opening position is flat out wrong.

Even before constable Braniac made himself look like a prize chump, both cops were already behaving contrary to the law and police guidelines.
