Ubisoft and EA are 2 of the big 3 publishers if you don't sell their games you don't have a business in my opinion.

Refunding in store credit also screams, "sorry, we already spent your deposits" Unless specified in the terms and conditions of your deposit that they would do that I would tell them where to put it and demand the cash back.

Even if its in their Ts&Cs I'm pretty sure you could demand the cash back anyway.

Just think, if GAME had any sense they could have done what Valve did.

If you can't stock EA and Ubisoft games then you don't have a business it's as simple as that.

Supposedly Ubisoft relented but I'd have to go into a store to check. Since I don't want to, any volunteers?

This is my biggest issue I have with Senior Management at the time, instead of wasting money on Gamestation they could have taken a massive stake in Steam for the same money. Short sighted or what.

Or come up with a viable competitor to Steam, which would have both made them a bucketload of money and been good for the industry.

I feel for the staff, especially in this climate.

I used to work there, and the manageress was a complete cunt. Senior management didn't give a fuck when me and other staff complained about her and were basically told "there there, run along now and look after our bottom line".

Hence the hate. Sooner I see that cunt out on her ear the better.

Plus that and the local stores to me are generally useless, including all the staff I've generally dealt with. I do feel sorry for the ones that know what they're doing, but from my experience they've been few and far between.

Almost certain now that they are going tits up.

Now, I haven't bought from their shops for longer than I can remember and they really haven't moved with the times in terms of pricing and their buying power when things were good. It will mean, unless you are up north with Grainger Games, there will be no High St dedicated gaming emporiums which I think is a shame. Once HMV go it will be virtually all supermarkets and online stores only.

How it's all gone downhill for them since they spent however many millions on and then ruining Barryworld.

Not a fuck was given. Last time I went in one they had nothing I couldn't get cheaper online. The last time I went into a gamestation I bought a used PSP and a bunch of used games for it, about 2 years ago I think.

I feel for the staff naturally but not the company.

Why would I buy a digital product played and updated digitally on a digital internet from a shop in the street, when I can buy it digitally?
