I said they did just as good, meaning they win every fight with a RM on prydwen just as with a BD. And that is the truth.. Has nothing to do with me, I've just never lost a fight with mael and I'm a RM last time I checked :/

No they aint just good when they got a BD in the group, but they are better when they got one in it, dont care what you put in its place. They never as tough without brite.

Sure you may win every fight, but tell me. What other rr10 set group is left on prydwen atm? Cant even say PE as they shared accounts so the people on them havent played as long together in the setup as those that are teh core to mael.

It is a combination, obviously. You would still do good with a RM and without the intercepting pet.

Ofcourse you play well, and almost always same players, but there's no shame to admit it has easymode written all over it. Your casters dont die as fast, survivability is way higher then any other caster, lifetap > spec nuke without lifetap-component, both in dps and in the healing department. Furthermore Vendo Zerk on Celerity has way higher DPS then a BM/Merc on similar RR. Shaman only needs MOC1 to be still as annoying as with MOC3, etc etc etc. 2, possible 3, demezzers available.

There's no question however that if you replace the BD with a Runie - and the SM pet wouldnt intercept, you wouldnt perform in the same way. I got no problems in admitting Maelstrom is more 'skilled' then the typical people in the groups I run with (including me), but saying its down to skill and RR is nonsense. You got the better tools, and you use them (everyone does, no shame in that either).

Looking at grps on pryd i noticed there is a new common setup on pryd/mid , it´s called brite/miracle school ^^

sucks when i cant play rly and with the connection problems im having recently it sucks when i can aswell, 200+ pings with 5-10% packletloss :S but its all for a good cause, getting that gimp zebolt to rr10 ;p

but the amount of mids out atm compared to hib/alb is silly, must be good for alb/hib groups for fights, well apart from getting perma add from aldoran/SC groups that i have seen dont look too good ;/ but bring on teh cluster, and if its still as bad go reroll you gimp mids cos i dont have time to >.<

Pryd Hibs are badly missing some of our high RR casters at this time, coupled with high RR support. I'd prefer as a Hib to run either 2/3 casters or 5 tanks, but we never seem to have the people on. So facing Mael with 2/3 Bm just doesn't work. It works against other Mids quite well, but vs Mael it doesnt with the current people available.

BD is a wicked class though.

On Lyoness there is a RR11+ midgardian group what is include two RR12 guy.

They play with 2 healer ( one is rr12 ), shaman , berzeker , pd 5 bd ,warrior , runemaster ( rr12 ) ,skald . - no life category btw -

I cant say they are good i cant say they are not , becouse we won a few fights agaisnt them with random high rr group but most of the time they kill everything alone .
but i rather put a runemaster into the group when a runi can do 800+ dmg on a maxed resist ( ok very high rr ) ,
on prydwen you maybe ok with a sm - moc 3 . but when you have 5+ fix group ( i not include the rvr noobs they always moving in minimum 3 fg )from every realm you cant build for MoC 3

my conclusion is : both is good but better choice is a higher dmg

sm nuke is faster than RM spec nuke so overall might be higher damage im sure tests have been done to show that sorc does higher damage than spec nukes and iirc sm lifetap is slightly higher damage same cast speed

but just becuase rm is slightly higher damage than SM doesnt make it better as SM pet interupt, ML9 pet, plus intercept making the survivability loads better and the utility to PB Zo pets and debuff just makes an SM so much more better than an RM, ignoring all that utility for a tiny bit of damage is silly

he has almost 3*rr10 with playing only in the evenings since he got a wonderful fulltime job also when the weatther is good hes on his wicked motorbike or with a girl or drinking with us ^^

if someone have three RR11+ char ,one is almost rr12 and thaths group playing from 6pm to 3am in every day.
there is a rr12 Blademaster . he have 500+ day played and some other high rr char to.....so i think thaths the no life category for me
