UO was my first mmo, and it was that experience that cemented my love of pvp.
This was back in the day when being killed meant you loosing ALL your stuff. No fucking about. In the wilds you carried ONLY what you could afford to loose.
My first encounter with a player killer (they had red names to denote they actively killed players) left be physically shaking with adrenaline.
It was fuckin' awesome. And I miss that type of open world pvp greatly.
