Seems Prigozhin is going on holiday to Belarus where he'll no doubt encounter a very dangerous cuppa.

He's totally undermined Putin. Your underling deciding to spare you isn't a good look for a dictator. Some follow up will occur. Hope they both end up with Polonium teas tbh.

Perhaps it is me but why is there some sort of expectation regarding airlifts:

I'm not sure how many more ways you can be told, or the regular occurrence of the Russian state arresting people for bartering purposes, that you shouldn't be in fucking Russia unless part of the government embassy etc.

War criminals :(

We can't claim higher ground if we use this shit.
Jesus. Weak sauce. They plan to use them for what they were designed for, taking out columns of tanks and infantry and by happy coincidence, practically de-mining the area. They aren’t planning to use them in civilian areas like Russia does. Every Russian thing blown up in Ukraine saves Ukrainian lives.

Proper Glem Greenwald bollocks.

We all hate Russia. But we shouldn't be using banned munitions.

Would you justify the use of chemical weapons if Russia used them on civilians and we "only" used them on soldiers?

Sure but what about the cluster bombs that doesn't explode? Will they 100% guaranteed stay inert forever or are they just a smaller version of a much harder to find mine waiting for some innocent schmuck to randomly set it off for no apparent reason?

Early on in the war, the White House was asked about allegations that Russia was using cluster bombs, and then-press secretary Jen Psaki said it would be a "war crime" if true.
Double standards.

the cluster munitions America will send to Ukraine have a dud rate of less than 2.5%...

...US law prohibits the transfer of cluster munitions with bomblet failure rates higher than 1%
Breaking their own laws.

Wonder what the press would be like if Trump did this?

The russian soldiers have invaded the country, it wouldnt matter if they used bombs that deployed the Blob to melt their flesh and eat them, it would still be justified. If they dont want to die to these bombs then leave the country, if Putin says no to that then as a country they should remove him.

So anything is justified?

Interesting.

Yes to repel an invader who you did not invite and has no right to be there, yes any means of attack against their soldiers who are killing your civilians is justified to remove them from your country, and yes before your clever retort, i mean that against ANY invading county including UK, America and Russia

But they aren't, since neither the USA, Russia or Ukraine are signatories of the ban.

It isn't the same type of weapon, but I'm not surprised people such as yourself use it.

Yeah, I don't like the cluster bomb business either. I think UAF can do fine without this type of weapon. They seem to get a lot of materiel support and funding, outclassing the russians in logistics and combined arms tactics. Don't think the cluster bombs are the missing element to freeing up more land quicker.

To their disgrace - but they're still breaking their own laws because of the failure rates of the weapons. As is clearly spelled out. And that's on Biden, specifically.

I don't understand this sentence? What do I use?

BTW - I've noted the "dislikes and disagrees on me pointing out that we're going to be using munitions that are so bad 100 countries have banned them, but nobody has disliked a post that said anything is justified.

Not a lot of moral high ground about I guess. It's like the Netherlands of morality around here.

A large part of the reason is the wests current inability to make enough standard shells, thus to fill the gap the US is using it's stock of Cluster munitions.

It is also clearly spelled out he can bypass that law.

Your tendency to use strawman arguments.
