There are all these customs/conventions/traditions when an ousted president hands over to their successor and you just know Trump's going to ignore every single last one of them and be as much of a prick as possible.

She is not wrong - any decent opposition would call it a day and protect whatever legacy they left behind - Biden will have 306 electoral votes by the end and the public vote... not a lot to dispute here to be honest

Nice opinion piece in in the post from born again leftie Jennifer Rubin.
Shes also called for anyone questioning the election to be removed from polite society.

Maybe accept the democratic result and you don't have to worry about it.

Trump is breaking from over 250 years of tradition and decency, not the Democrats.

She's absolutely right. The GOP have been plotting for months to steal the election for themselves and, now it hasn't worked, they've resorted to whining like little bitches about fraud without a shred of evidence. They're not "questioning the election" ffs, they're just throwing out totally baseless claims and accusations and hoping to discredit the whole process for their own benefit. Put evidence forward of fraud that would've changed the outcome in even a single state or stfu and accept the result.

Thats what it boils down to really, Trump wasnt part of polite society and you agree the only way forward is to return to a a sober, liberal dinner party approach.
The hordes were kicking at the door and the answer is to turn up the vaughan and invite more black friends.

Bidens squeezing out endless platitudes...'healing the rift..be what we can be' and they are lapping it up like a security blanket.

Anyway it was good while it lasted and even AOC is admitting if they dont get their shit together they'll be facing another Trump in 2024.

You're right.

Trump 2.0 will come in 2024, not because of how great Trumpism is, but because how it will feed on the misery of people during the shit times of post-covid economy - Biden is becoming President at probably the worst time.

Trump has mastered how to defeat sensibilities; by creating an alternative truth that your devotees will believe without question.

Sorry - the "left" - by that I mean the Democrats and Labour - have done NOTHING in the past twenty years to stave off this "misery of people". It won't be the fault of the post-covid economy - but very the pre-covid economy and, on a larger scale - the economy full stop.

The economy hasn't worked for the poor for decades. Arguably it never has, but it's just been compounding, like a compound interest of shitness, over time.

And when "the left" has been in power they've failed to do anything about it. Not the Conservatives or the Republicans - the Democrats and Labour.

So demagogues like Trump are more and more likely. Because when they do get power the left doesn't do anything meaningful to make things better anyway.

Trump has mastered how to defeat sensibilities; by creating an alternative truth that your devotees will believe without question.
The victims of Trump are no different than the victims of the Dems - people who support the democrats have in this (and previous) election defined themselves by who they're against (Trump) not what they're for.

The Dems and Labour don't know what they're for. They've got no answers. So they're lauding this (very) narrow narrow victory and, as Biden pointed out in his speech, they're going to spend their entire time rolling back a few things that Trump did - exiting Paris, a bit more affordable healthcare, talking "nice" again and being very disapproving of people who don't want to talk that way.

This talk of "lists" is extraordinarily dangerous and should be a red rag to everyone - not just Trump supporters. It's the left showing their teeth - underneath the veneer there's not much between them and the republicans.

Not in how much they care for people. Not in policy.

Meet the new boss, just the same as the old boss - and just as dangerous, in their own ways.

Good god that speech in delaware.

It was just him reading out an internet list of cheesy political motivational quotes, in fact at the end he gave up trying to make it sound like a constructed speech.

It was better than any speech Trump ever regurgitated

I see he is trying to validate his recent Twitter posts by using a media source, sadly he shouldn't of bothered since it is breitbart.
