All this talk of adoption seems to be related to this:

Magnitsky Act - Wikipedia

...which apparently is a piece of legislation that Putin desperately wants removed:

Why Does the Kremlin Care So Much About the Magnitsky Act?

Basically, oligarchs steal money from Russian people, the complicit state kills the lawyer charged with investigating it, the USA enacts a piece of legislation to ensure this stolen money can't be taken to the US, Russia responds by banning Americans from adopting Russian children. And now, we have odd conversations about enabling "adoption".

The whole thing is disgusting.

Putin is the big boss who wants his 'taste' of all criminal activity that his law enforcement allows. There are no barriers between Legislative, Executive, Judiciary, Law Enforcement, Mafia and Secret Services in the Russian Federation. It's all one thing. Targeting criminal proceeds hurts Putin's personal wallet.

Just read an overview of DTjr's lies and spins. Wow, just wow. The fact he still thinks he'll be taken seriously just blows my mind.

North Korea are purposefully winding him up and he's fallen for it hook line and sinker. He's the president of the USA ffs and here he is sounding like some tinpot dictator. It's pretty horrifying that we're getting to the point where we're hoping Kim Jung-un will be the bigger man. Trump's military folk need to get him to stfu because even though North Korea could probably be demilitarised in an afternoon, they'd do a hell of a lot of damage to surrounding countries in the process (Seoul is well within range for example).

I wouldn't put it beyond Trump to be trying to escalate this situation to try and deflect attention away from all the Russia bullshit.

N Korea's 1970 rockets would might take out a couple windows, that is all.

So long as China are putting up with them, which won't last the month, they can say what they like. As soon as China fuck them off, the North Korea leadership is doomed.

It wouldn't surprise me if China got rid themselves, all North Korea are to them nowadays is an awkward cousin that keeps making a fool of themselves at social gatherings.

I love it how the anti-missile systems which America has are deemed to be inadequate - and they're going to have a 'review' about them.

IT'S THE BIGGEST NUCLEAR THREAT SINCE THE COLD WAR YOU NEED TO DO SOMETHING -------NOW------- NOT HAVE A FUCKING REVIEW ABOUT IT.

12 years in the future, stepping out of the rubble of the White House, the Clinton Report found that yes, the missile systems were inadequate, there are media tribes questioning why did the report take so long to produce.

Why are people allowing the media to scare them so much?

I think the US Government is doing a good enough job of that already.

It was them that said yeah don't worry guys, North Korea is 10 years off making a nu- oh.

Seriously, scuds were useless in iraq and that was over 20 years ago.

Overly emotional, hyperbolic sabre rattling.

I'm disappointed it won't happen actually.

Hwasong-14 isn't a SCUD, it isn't an evolution of the SCUD; its a completely different type of missile; two-stage v one, twice the size, four times the range and a completely different guidance system. NK have lots of SCUDs as well (Hwasong-9), but the Americans and the Japanese aren't worried about them, although the South Koreans are, what with Seoul being 25 miles from the DMZ. At that range even a SCUD can hit something.

I'm no expert but I would imagine the South Koreans and Americans have suitably advanced radar technology to track the exact origin of any ordnance that came over the border, and to very quickly send something bigger and much more explody straight back to that origin.

They don't even need to track a lot of it. Most of the NK artillery is fixed in bunkers, and has been for years; SK counter-battery fire would finish it off in minutes, but not before its killed thousands in Seoul.

I freely admit I'm not as knowledgeable of racism as you are.
