Seems a bit retarded. I mean I identify as an Apache Attack Helicopter, I would have thought I'd be ideal for military service?

The cunts would prob just say "Unless you identify as a man or a woman and were born as such, you cannot enter our special club of specialness."

To be fair, there was an ex-marine on GMB this morning putting the case forward, and she did make a very good point - you can't serve in the US Military if you have ANY pre-existing medical condition, such as Diabetes, PTSD, Depression, COPD etc. However, if that was the real reason this was done it would make sense (kind of), however we all know that it isnt...

I don't think the financial value matters. It's the fact that the military employ people to kill people, essentially. Do you really want to someone going though all the emotional issues involved in transitioning and the stresses of war? It's just not practical or realistic.
Nor is it the place of the military to pay for such treatment, there should be other government/social systems in place to do that.

And like I said, I don't really see the sense in banning post op people, seems pretty pointless.

CNN obtained a memo from the joint chiefs that they didn't know he would say what he said. Makes you wonder who "his generals" are.

I see activists say there are up to 5000 Transgenfers in the US army...the official line is around 100.
So even if they kicked out the hundred..that leaves possible 4900.

That's a valid point.

Tbh, I reckon he's just seeing what he can get away with at this point, pretty sure every day cheeto face wakes up the first thing he does is look in the mirror and go "What mad shit can I say today and get people to back me?"

I think at this point we need to be more concerned that the guy in charge of pressing the nuke button has decided now is a good time to announce that he would press the button if Trump asked him to destroy say...pretends to pick random country...say China!.
Then Boris says our new carriers first job is to sail past China.

WW3 creeps a little closer.

You do realise that they might as well have asked him if he breathes?

Whoever is in charge of a nuclear firing mechanism will launch at whoever they are told to launch at by the president (In America's case) that is the way it works.

Non story of the century.

The question was asked because the US has been sending its carriers into the China sea to 'test' freedom of movement there against Chinas military build up..now we've been dragged in with our new carrier.
Funnily enough everytime the US asks us for a backup...things go tits up.
Its literally just been launched with no armanents , and the US has pushed us to saying we'll send it there.

These are the things that pale our EU relationship into insignificance.
We spy on the EU for America..we back the US against EU interests, and sending a carrier to chinas military zone is hardly the beginnings of a trade deal.

Um. Like public footpaths, international waters have to be used to remain open. Perfectly reasonable to send our new ships on a nice long voyage, via the South China Sea. If that is the case ofc, source and so on.

Its a bit disappointing really, he is almost crying rather than ranting. SAD

It's Ok, one of his mates was on about not paying people unless they voted in agreement with Trump on everything.

Talking to Wij on FB about this. It's too much of a clusterfuck to even begin to understand. Good going Trumpster.

I mean, just consider your company hiring someone in the equivalent position, and the shit they have to go through. And then firing them, and the reverse shit. It boggles my mind, and this is normal for this presidency. Normal. My bloody oath 0_o

Malcolm Tucker: "Look, don't worry. The PM is not going to sack you after a week. Sacked after twelve months, looks like you've fucked up. Sacked after a week, looks like he's fucked up."

It's not actually that rare out in the Corporate world for a new employee not to work out and them not to last long at all, especially with combustible people in charge.

I am fairly baffled however - he's turning the White House into The Apprentice, but if you look at all the metrics people use over here to suggest Brexit is teh evil - US PMI is up, the Stock Market is doing well, and US GDP is on it's way up. If he gets his tax reforms through and encourages US Companies to bring overseas cash back to the US, things could look very rosy indeed.

I still have no idea how, but business in the US are pretty optimistic at this point.

It's despite though. Business is up all over, especially in construction and infrastructure.

Well, except half the EU that is.
