No one's stopping immigration, it's about having control over your borders, at the
moment it's pretty easy to send people, drugs, animals and goods back and forth.
Everyone is on their high horse because the word immigration is used, then brains click into
sensible, educated, world wise person at the dinner table mode and drag out
..America built on..escaped from Nazi Germany, drowned in the med.
Securing your border and checking people who come and go, is fundamental to the security
and workings of a country as safe and advanced as America.
That's why OBAMA!! spent 600 million dollars on the fence.

Actually, not really. Borders used to be completely porous.

It was the rise of the welfare state that gave rise to the passport - we were pretty much free to come and go before then. The world is poorer because of stronger borders.

Something for idiots to worry about for a start.

Are you actually equating my house with a country?

Is that how you see England? Your country, rather than somewhere you were born and live by chance?

How very parochial of you.

Oh well, if we're going down that road...born and live by chance...your house, your family, who gives you the right to 'own' that bit of space.
The same thing that gives us the right to defend our own country, someone fought for it years ago.

If you're going to "go down that road" make a coherent argument instead of waffling like your wank idol.

And again - you're conflating house and country. Explain in detail - without Trumpspeak - why they're in any way the same.

21 billion vs 600 million

600 million is about 2.9% of 21 billion

The sums are vastly different as is their purpose, i dont know why you are still going on about that figure

Controlling borders is one thing, but Trumps "solution" doesnt actually solve any of the problems, amd may actually make things worse, if he fucks with the US-Mexican cooperation they will have little incentive to stop crossings at their southern border

Yep. Not remotely similar. But "spent on Wall" fits simplistic worldview.

A bit like "No ban" = "definitely a ban", "not socialism" = "pffft socialism", yadda yadda yadda.

I wonder how long we are before "is he a bit mad?" to "oh shit he is cementing his position?"

That last press meeting was out there...really out there.
But he is correct about a press that has joined up as a liberal anti trump monopoly, with an agenda and and all impartiallity has gone out of the window.
Bteakfast TV turned into an anti Trump rant by the presenter, and ITV news, which has just dropped below the National Enquirer with its new Fox style presenter.
He introduced the Trump segment as incoherent , dangerous rambling.
Then said 'but you make up your own mind'.
The Liberal press are so dumbfounded by Trumps election, that they have thrown out of the window their own core beliefs, though I do see the Washington Post backing off a bit and starting to highlight any positives they can find.

The reason you don't see them as the same is because illegal immigration to you is someone elses problem, it just melts into the 'out there'.
If someone came through your open front door, sat on the couch and started talking to your kids, it would immediatly become your problem.
That's the endless gripe against liberals, they make a stance of correctness, leave it to someone else to deal with the cold reality, then move on to the next bleeding heart scenario.

Your first sentence acknowledges that Trump's press meeting was bizarre to say the least.

Then the rest of your entire post supports him.

Which is it? Was it fucking bizarre or is the entire industry lieing about the fact that it was bizarre?

The press would have been giving Hilary a tough time too. It's what they are there for. I think they, just like all not insane people  are seeing Trump for the crazed moron that he really is and are rightfully gunning hard for him.

No. I see them as different because they're different.

If a stranger tried to get entry into my house then I'd stop him. If a stranger wanted to move in next door then I wouldn't have a problem. He gets to do the same to me - stop me coming into his house.

If someone in the street started talking to my kids (or my sisters kids) then I wouldn't think anything of it - regardless of whether they're british, pakistani or somali. That's what humans do when they meet each other. They talk.

But that's because I'm not massively scared of them getting raped by black people or foreigners. Not in the slightest.

"Talking to your kids" - oh noes! Fear for the kids!!!1!! Immigrationz0r!!!!!

You just affirmed my observation in every possible way..including moving the talking to the kids into the street....it's 'out there'..not in here, then adding them being ethnic to grab racist points.

Unless I'm missing something massively (because you're not clear, and talk like Trump) I still don't get the problem.

In the house? Who lets strangers into their house? And what has that got to do with immigration? (asked this multiple times now)

Are you asking, would I let an immigrant into my house? Is that it? Is that the thrust of your argument?

Edit: Just to clarify. Other than the immigrants I already let into my house (my friends) and that I've let talk to my sister's kids (and babysit them for me once on short notice because: humans I trust). Yes. I'd let immigrants into my house if I had a reason to do so. I certainly wouldn't let random White English People into my house for no reason. Would you?

I have zero objections who I would "let" into the country however (in fact, I don't really want a say in that myself because I don't care - they're all humans and I don't give a stuff where they were born), because although I live in England, it's a big place and England isn't in my house.

The wall is to stop illegal immigrants, you have just verified that you use that policy yourself, in fact you vet the people who look after your kids.
But when its people crossing a border, it gets all ' ooh jobs scared of immigrants'.
Yet again...someone elses problem.

Jeesus wept. Answer the questions asked of you for christs sake. One at a time:

1)
You're conflating house and country. Explain in detail - without Trumpspeak - why they're in any way the same.

2)
I certainly wouldn't let random White English People into my house for no reason. Would you?

3)

Everyone who vets the people who looks after their kids. You hand your kids over to a babysitter you trust to look after. You would no more hand over your kid to a white english stranger as opposed to a non-white immigrant stranger. Why do you think that this has anything to do with immigration? Please relate to your answers to 1) + 2) above.

If you don't want to have a discussion about it that's fine. Please just state: "I just want to keep typing the same thing in response to questions and have no interest in helping people understand my point of view, let alone examining my own points of view to see if I am, in fact, correct".

Otherwise, I really would like to discuss, with reasoning that's taken into account, this IMO very strange standpoint from you.

House <> Country.

Well for starters the UK has a roof, and a bath..in fact many baths.
It has custom controls..just like a house..I don't know about yours but mine has a Queen, the country I mean.
It has fields; and that's like a large garden.
Point proven.

In that Seth Meyer segment, theres the big reaction to Trump asking the black reporter if she knew the CBC group, its all over the press..racist..bigot.
In the ACTUAL transcript, she admits she does know them.
Conveniently removed by the entire left wing press for the agenda.

That's kinda disgusting tbh. No attempt to answer the questions (laid out nicely for you to respond to). Then utter utter trump-like bullshit.

I can see why you idolise trump. Despite his abject idiocy he's still so far up the IQ scale compared to you that he must seem like a golden god.

I get it. You think it's funny to emulate him. But you're on a forum, not running for anything important. Why are you even on a discussion forum if you don't want to discuss things?

The thing, which blankly opened and closed a hole in its face even when not speaking as if in an autonomous feeding reflex, was able to respond to human speech but experts believe it is simply mimicry, devoid of meaning.

BBC reporter Julian Cook said: “It appeared to answer questions, but when you read back the answers they’re nothing but a torrent of unconnected words
Just like @Job above :)

I never realised that when Trump and his supporters referred to 'Dishonest Media' they were literally talking about everything that wasn't right wing.

The BBC interviewed a bunch of racis--- Trump supporters and they told them that good reliable outlets were Breitbart, and other far right wing media outlets which I had never heard of but Wikipedia described them all as ultra conservative or right wing.

What like feeding her questions in presedential debates, that kind of tough time?
