I think the blame could actually be laid at social media's door. It doesn't seem to matter what you do or what you want, so long as you appear angry and help raise awareness so you can quickly move on to what the celebs are doing.

Where are the left wing arguments? The figure heads to push the agenda? The reasoned debate? Nowhere, and that suits the right just fine.

The UK currently has one of the most cuntish Tory governments in generations with zero opposition.
The US has a giant racist imbecile in charge, virtually un-challenged. Yeah sure there are plenty of pathetic road blocks being laid out but nothing that will stop him really (baring any fallout from the Russian thing)
The right is on the rise in other EU countries with barely any real opposition...ffs LePen and that crazy fella in the Netherlands shouldn't even be challenging in any sane world, but they both could win.

People literally freak out if you use one version of the same term. Or sexual orientation, there is a new defined box to place people in every day. Probably a useful technicality, as he only lost the popular vote due to California.
