I'm in the US at the moment doing our annual pilgrimage to head office in Santa Barbara. A few random observations :

- Immigration at LAX was probably the quickest it's ever been. Straight to an automated machine, very quick chat with the CBP guy, and we were through. Then waited 45 minutes for our luggage....

- Went through heading outside for a much needed cigarette, to be greeted by 100 or so anti Trump protesters outside Tom Bradley.

- Whilst smoking I saw an older chap carrying an enormous Stars and Stripes, and on closer inspection, a Trump hat, making his way towards the protest. I went for a closer look, sensing incoming entertainment, ended with a stand off.

- There was also a Pro Trump protest, about 10 people in that. 10 more than I expected to see in LA mind.

- The anti lot were chanting about everyone being welcome here. Except, I'm guessing for the guy in the Trump hat. Or, judging by their placards, anyone from Israel...
