It has to go through a due process, the judge can't just announce it the next day.
Quite clearly, no arguments, no legal challenges..just...'I say this'
It may be a loophole for an emergency temp hold, but this judge is putting himself in a very difficult situation.
As posted it does just apply to a very small number of people, ..oh and he's a she.
Anyway, does she not have peers or challengers, judges just call it now do they, scan through the papers and announce blocks to policies.
cherrypicking your words again Job? didn't we recently discuss this?HInterestingly, Obama banned all Iraqis in 2011..hardly a murmur at the time.
Should be a million soon.
Ok, so the decision is a very small point, which I admit I had stupidly thought would have been allready sorted...like a short delay in implementation, so people actually flying at the time would be exempt.
Incredibly, and I guess we'll have to get used to this..there wasn't.
In Trumps defence,, that's not unusual for America, there legal system is all ready shoot first, questions later.
We are at a crosspoint, probably a historical one that can be traced over and over again in history as a start of something unpleasant, where the judiciary are seen by many as there to simply keep the status quo and stifle any drastic actions in a way that goes against the spirit of the momentum, or mob rule, you could call it.
I'm sure people fear that any 'rebellion they feel by voting Trump, will be squashed by a system they think is there to stamp it out.
That homeland security statement is worryingly political.
It's easy to spout figures, but if you dig into the story behind them it changes completely...very few Americans are killed by terrorists, but America is pretty well under a 365/24/7 security lockdown, they are monitoring suspects in the thousands day and night, every public event has bag searches, huge concrete defences are being plonked outside public gathering places, water supplies have armed guards, there are anti plane missiles in major cities..the list goes on.
This is what motivates the hate, the fact that the threat has the western world living in practically war time security alert.

Ahh but he's done business with those countries (and others suspiciously absent) whereas he's done little to no business with any of the 7 on the list. Never let it be said that there's a conflict of interests. No siree. If you're going to be a giant orange Nazi, ban muslims from the countries that actually attack Americans, e.g. Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. But of course he wouldn't have the balls to do that would he?
George Galloway nailed it.
A million Muslims died under Obama and Bush and you're calling Trump Hitler.
