It has to go through a due process, the judge can't just announce it the next day.
Quite clearly, no arguments, no legal challenges..just...'I say this'
It may be a loophole for an emergency temp hold, but this judge is putting himself in a very difficult situation.
As posted it does just apply to a very small number of people, ..oh and he's a she.
Anyway, does she not have peers or challengers, judges just call it now do they, scan through the papers and announce blocks to policies.

Go on then, apply to be a US Judge. Seeing as you're an expert on US law. Funny, you seem to be an expert on everything.

Ok, so the decision is a very small point, which I admit I had stupidly thought would have been allready sorted...like a short delay in implementation, so people actually flying at the time would be exempt.
Incredibly, and I guess we'll have to get used to this..there wasn't.
In Trumps defence,, that's not unusual for America, there legal system is all ready shoot first, questions later.
We are at a crosspoint, probably a historical one that can be traced over and over again in history as a start of something unpleasant, where the judiciary are seen by many as there to simply keep the status quo and stifle any drastic actions in a way that goes against the spirit of the momentum, or mob rule, you could call it.
I'm sure people fear that any 'rebellion they feel by voting Trump, will be squashed by a system they think is there to stamp it out.
That homeland security statement is worryingly political.

I'd completely understand your argument if it was a case of pure immigration; a block of all foreigners who may pose the threat of permanent settlement, even though I do disagree with it, as history has shown that immigration is inevitable.

However, the line which Trump takes is that only certain people are not allowed into their country because of some other people who negatively represent their culture/religion, he's simply playing on peoples fears rather than reality.

The reality of America is that black people probably cause a large chunk of the crime, but persecution of those openly is a no-go, also it wouldn't be beneficial for them since housing projects are an American creation by the Government which stumps social mobility, and keeps everyone where they want them.

Defending this kind of action is abhorrent and is a stain on the definition of humanity.

America signed to to the Geneva Convention. Under that they have to take refugees.

Have. To.

It's beyond retarded, as well as being venal and thoroughly disgusting. Why these seven countries? If you're going to be a giant orange Nazi, ban muslims from the countries that actually attack Americans, e.g. Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. But of course he wouldn't have the balls to do that would he?

It's easy to spout figures, but if you dig into the story behind them it changes completely...very few Americans are killed by terrorists, but America is pretty well under a 365/24/7 security lockdown, they are monitoring suspects in the thousands day and night, every public event has bag searches, huge concrete defences are being plonked outside public gathering places, water supplies have armed guards, there are anti plane missiles in major cities..the list goes on.
This is what motivates the hate, the fact that the threat has the western world living in practically war time security alert.

And how will any of that go away with this ban?

You really are a tool.

Most terrorists are born in the country they attack anyway.

I'm a tool for pointing out the seismic change in security levels in the western world.
You think everyone was just going to roll over and get used to it...or maybe turn on Islam....lets ...see.
Whats Trump doing..a temp ban on certain Islamic countries...what would he like to do.
Nuke the entire Middle East and turn it into Sandyville USA.
Thats where we are at, people crying over a temp ban.

George Galloway nailed it.
A million Muslims died under Obama and Bush and you're calling Trump Hitler.

And you think a million more won't die under Trump? He's a week into office and he's already sent troops into combat. I also like the neat "Obama and Bush" line; the vast majority of deaths were under fellow Republican Bush, but it suits the narrative.

I think you and George are agreeing for the wrong reasons.

However.

Remember waterboarding and attacking the families of terrorists?

Alrighty then.

Well, not surprising, seeing as Israelis have a thing for building walls to keep out Arabs. It hasn't worked out for them that well though.

Can you imagine what would happen if something like 9/11 happened tomorrow? We'd have a nuclear crater within an hour in what would then previously had been known as the Middle East..
