If having Piers Fucking Morgan on the same side as you doesn't fill you with shame then I give up on you Trumpistas.

We have to pick sides do we? So we can't appreciate he has an issue or two, but as the American people have voted for him to be their president maybe we should give him a chance before getting into hysterics about the "End of the World".

If he does what he promised and brings blue collar jobs back to areas like Michigan and Illinois then the Democrats will have a job beating him in 2020, if he doesn't he'll be out on his ear. Plenty of new US jobs have been created since he was voted in, and US business confidence is through the roof, so let's see.

He could end up being a terrible president, he could be brilliant, we don't know at this stage. Might be best to wait and see?

Main things that's been annoying me however, is the constant fellatio the UK media feel the need to perform on Obama. I mean if we ignore the fact that he's the first two term US president in history to be at war for every day he was in office, the fact his country had 8 years of his policies and decided to vote for the exact opposite, and his flagship policy was a bit of a clusterfuck, what do we have left? A few slick speeches does not make greatness tbh.

Obama had pretty much zero power though, he had to fight the senate at pretty much every stage, regardless of what he put forward they just fucked it off.

That would explain why he spent most of his time in office in the golf course.

He still had the power to deport 2.5 million illegals, which is a few more than Trump was planning on.

Because they are just like every other group of libtards, lots of nothing to whine about, so long as they appear OUTRAGED. Because being OUTRAGED raises awareness or whatever, keeps them busy until the trust fund kicks in.

Some idiot on facebook tried to compare Trump's crowd to some race march, claiming it to be Obama's inauguration...shame there was no podium or grandstand behind the non-existent podium.

They keep pointing out the lack of celebrities at his event.
I'm pretty sure turning up would be the end of your career in right on Hollywood.

He'll be a president for the wealthy. That's it. Everyone else will have to beg for crumbs. He's never been poor, never met anyone who's poor, never had anyone say no to him (except the Scots lol), so he has absolutely no idea what it's like to live on practically no money. To him, people without money just aren't trying hard enough.

What a cunt.

Be careful with absolutes!

Whereas the community organiser was definitely a President for the American people.

A few slick speeches does not make greatness tbh.

It's not about sides in the political divide. Right vs Left. It's about people who think competence, decency and not being corrupt matter and those who aren't quite so bothered. Plenty of Republicans despise Trump as does most of the Intelligence community who don't have a reputation as whiny liberals. Even in this country Fatty Soames, Tory MP, was disgusted by the speech. The question of whether it's ok to assault women because you can get away with it is not a right vs left issue. The question of whether it's ok to welch on paying what you owe to small businesses and tradesmen because you can get away with it is not a right vs left issue. The question of whether it's ok to profit from money laundering is not a right vs left issue. The question of whether it's ok to be able to make yourself richer from decisions you make as a president is not a right vs left issue.

As for giving him a chance, he's had it already. He has already done enough to show he is unfit to govern. Of the 600 odd executive posts the transition team is required to fill they haven't filled half yet. There are empty desks everywhere. This hasn't happened in living memory.

In 2014 he promised he'd release his tax returns. He hasn't. In 2016 he promised to put his businesses into a blind trust. The other day he said he wouldn't fulfil that promise but would instead hand over the running of, but not ownership of, to his sons. This is completely inadequate to not be in violation of the constitution and against common decency but guess what, he hasn't even done that.

Every branch of the intelligence community is frantically investigating financial links between Trump, and his associates such as Manafort, and the Russian kleptocrats and mob in addition to whether he is compromised in other ways and how much the Russians influenced the election.

He stated in his speech: "But for too many of our citizens, a different reality exists: Mothers and children trapped in poverty in our inner cities; " and literally the first thing he signed was to end mortgage relief for poor families.

He is already breaking the nepotism law by appointing Jared Kushner.

He will soon be in a position to make favourable or unfavourable legislation regarding the banking industry when he owes hundreds of millions to Deutsche Bank.

He tells lies all the time that he doesn't even have a reason to make. They won't benefit him. Like saying yesterday that he was the first president ever to have a concert at the Lincoln memorial. The previous two presidents both did the same. Literally everyone remembers this. These lies are easy to check and serve no purpose whatsoever. It is pathological. He is not quite sane.

I'm not a lefty and it is not a requirement to be lefty to fear Trump. I've voted Labour precisely once and regretted ever since. I think Corbyn is a buffoon and regularly take the piss out of the post-structuralist wankers in the education establishment and the cry-bully students in the NUS. I wouldn't have minded a jot if Romney had won in 2012. Sure Obama seems like the cooler guy but hey, democracy. Romney is not remotely like Trump though. Trump has already failed every test so far and if you think he might change you need to watch more leopards.

1) "Inspirational exceptions" do not a population make.
2) Provide sources.

1) From the moment he announced his run, Trump continuously talked about safeguarding and creating skilled, well paid jobs for Americans. Within days of his victory, large firms were about turning on their 'offshoring' ambitions citing policy positions of the incoming administration. And these aren't the part-time, minimum wage service jobs that underpin the community organiser's jobs figures. A significant number are well paid, technically skilled positions.

2) These Are The 9 Zero Hedge Charts Showing "Obama's Recovery" That Angered The Washington Post | Zero Hedge

I think its pretty obvious he is a massive asshat. That is not really the problem. The problem is that there was no real opposition, despite us being in an age where everyone can voice their opinion and argue their corner, nobody managed to actually engage in debate. Just lots of angry people, wrapped up in their own little world.

It was her turn ffs!
Damn misogynists

edit: People seem to forget that Trump took apart a field of was it 14 (?) established politicians + a couple of other privately successful people.

HRC and her army of superdelegates faced the formidable depth and ability of the entire Democratic party in... Bernie Sanders (prev. independent) and (almost) Joe Biden plus some random. It's OK though, next time around they have it in the bag!! with... Swampahontas (Elizabeth Warren)

Well, there were 2 candidates and concerning the extent of past incompetence (Sec. of State) and corruption (CGI/foundation) there's only one winner. (If you're confused, she lost the election..).

Trump has already failed every test so far and if you think he might change you need to watch more leopards.

Except the tests that mattered.. R primaries & Presidential election.

Well, the vagina wasn't exactly the most electable of candidates was she? The whole thing was a choice between being shot in the head or the stomach.

ty m8.

If Swampahontas runs in 2020 I'm sure the preserve of political insight will have no problems bringing to prominence the dubious past of the privileged white woman that got ahead via affirmative action on account of her high cheek bones.
