Maybe they should get black boxes.

They'd get really cheap insurance because I bet they don't drive over the limit.

The fact that they're turning around to smack their kids, not paying attention, parking dangerously, wobbling all over the road etc. doesn't come into it...

The incentives at school are brilliant, they have stickers (kids fucking love stickers) if they walk to school but you're entitled if you walk once a fort night, if you don't walk, they should show you a video of Rasta Mouse getting ran the fuck over by some fat mum with a gobby kid.

This is sliding of topic. did you see Farage on breakfast TV, usual squirming to uncomfortable questions, but he
won't back down on Romania, claiming 90% of EU crime is Romanians or Hungarians.

They can call him racist till the cows come home, ordinary people are sick of that tired slur and they are just playing into his hands.

I did, the thing I noticed most was the frankly appauling journalism by the bird who was interviewing him, always interrupting with the slurs common in the media, not letting him make his point etc. Not that should I be shocked with it being on ITV, still boiled my piss to watch.

I never intended to vote UKIP (they're a single issue party with a single recognisable politician as far as I can see), but I tell you what, the media witch hunt against Farage (some justified, some not) is making me want to vote for them as a big "Fuck You" to the current state of the British media and politics,

But in the end would be a big fuck you to ourselves, giving racists and homophobes more of a say in the day-to-day menial shit.

Some of what he bangs on about is true, most of what he bangs on about is a load of bollocks. However, he is not a racist and it is not a racist party or movement. It is made out to look like one by the lazy media. The man is just a plain common or garden moron. It might attract a lot of racists etc as voters but then it is the single party that is trumpeting an unfashionable (but no less entitled) opinion.

More and more people do want a referendum on membership of Europe, I know I do...I am not really sure which way I would vote but I know it is something that has to happen sooner rather than later.

Either we vote to stay in and crack on with it or we vote to leave and crack on with it, either way the constant bickering about it and general bollocks isn't helping anyone.

Personally I want to see massive change in how Europe is run, it is not in the slightest bit democratic, its wasteful and it fails to understand its member states.

Come on Tom. School run ain't that bad. It's hardly "mayhem" and also - it's only a small amount of car journeys.

I start a contract near Barnsley in a week and a half. It's going to be a 55 minute drive up the motorway. Not cycleable obviously. Public transport? Well, a walk to the bus stop, bus into town, walk across town to train, train to sheffield, walk to bus stop in sheffield, bus to somewhere near work, walk to work, 3+ hours. Each way.

That's the reality for a lot of people. And you know what? CCTV will hit my face about 50 times during that journey, yet will not protect me from getting mugged on the journey even a tiny bit.

The school run is bloody terrible. Parents shove their cars wherever they please, on white zigzag lines next to pedestrian crossings, on people's private drives, on grass banks, up the pavements on junctions. They're a fucking menace, the lot of them. And all to deliver their children to a school those same kids could easily walk to, if the parents weren't frightened that Jimmy Savile might spirit them away in his white Rolls Royce.

I've read statistics on the average commute, it's somewhere around 10 miles. Now just think, that's an average. So how many will be doing 1, 2, 5 miles? A hell of a lot. And the ones who drive 1 or 2 miles to work instead of walking or cycling are, in my opinion, lazy.

I work 3 miles from my house and drive. I can leave my house at 8:20 and still be at work by 8:30...record in getting home from desk to door is 7 minutes. Bollocks to cycling to work.

I commute a similar distance on my bike and it takes me about 15 minutes. Once I factor in being less affected by traffic, having to fill up my car less and not having to piss about scraping ice off windscreens and the like then I imagine it doesn't work out much slower than if I drove every day. It's also better for the environment, healthier and cheaper. Bollocks to driving to work :p

Add in the time changing out of biking gear into working gear. Sitting round the office after being all sweaty from the bike ride. Getting soaking wet when it's raining. I stick to my car. Before I could drive I did four mile round trip to work on my bike so I know it can be unpleasant. Now I have a twelve mile trip to work which takes about twenty mins. By public transport would be getting on for two hours.

I do at least 40 miles daily on the bike. Today I did nearly 60. The sweat dried off in about 5 minutes flat - I mean, that's what sweat does - dries off and cools your body. And personally, I find getting rained upon while cycling to be a very liberating experience. Of course, if you buy half decent waterproof cycling gear, the rain is a huge non-issue.

Although I have to admit, the miles can be an issue. My wheel rim split this week, of course I don't want to stop riding so that's £90 on a spare wheel and another £80 or so to put a new rim and spokes on the old one. And the chain is buggered (4,000 miles), as is the rear mech (16,000 miles), and also, a surface-dressed road just completely ruined my rear tyre. But even given all that, it's still massively cheaper than a car.

Yeah - School runs are terrible, I used to walk 2 miles or so to where I worked, I used to beat parents 200 yards or so to their house, it was ridiculous, like, seriously.

Every time left wingers start losing an argument they play the trump card - shout RACIST as much as you can.

If that don't work they resort to violence.

Fuck them, vote UKIP tomorrow.

Resort to violence?

I don't see any anti-fascist gangs that attack places and 'invade' mosques (Britain First)

It's disgusting behaivour, we're a country built on acceptance of each other, it's not the 'left wingers' it's the society we've built.

Equally 'right wingers' are allowed to air their opinions, they're not exactly silenced, but people have the right to say 'you're chatting shit'

Throd, it's just their way of stifling debate, notice how very little of their opposition mentions UKIP policies, it's mostly just personal attacks. Great for stifling debate, as they don't seem particularly good at that.

Still doubt I'd vote for them in a proper election, far too single issue (like the SNP and the Greens) but may still vote that way tomorrow. We really do need to send the Eu a message that were sick of their undemocratic meddling shite.

You're implying that they seized an opportunity - and they didn't actually go because of what Farage said?

This is the common confusion that the media like to peddle. UKIP has nothing at all to do with the likes of the BNP and Britain first. Plenty of lefty groups also resort to violence too.

The problem with having a car and cycling to work is that you have to invest so much in the car just to have it sitting in the drive...they should put everything on petrol then cycling would be worth it..your car is burning up money at home while you pedal

mmm mmm but all the parties have some nutjobs in their ranks so....

Keep lapping up what the BBC tell you to lap up though.

Edit, again...some of the quotes there are true. Croydon is a fucking shithole that should be nuked from orbit...and while I am not sure the country exists, the UK should look after its own before sending money to warlords in Africa.
