This is the reason Arse will always be a selling club, they wont pay top wages.
aye ade isnt worth the money. Only really had 1 good season and he was pretty useless for most of last season. Has an attitude problem though didnt he get a payrise last year? Probably why he couldnt be arsed![]()
And on what planet is a lazy 16 goal scoring striker worth 130k a week we will not pay stupid wages but our players that are worth the money earn well.
yes foolish arsenal, lets be bought out by some billionaire and then pay football players ridiculous amounts of money, cos the poor lil babies aren't already making stupid amounts of money as it is.

That isn't what I was doing, I was just posting a link detailing the finances which goes some way to explaining why Arsenal aren't spending big money. Personally I think they are doing the right thing, they won't risk the club for short-term success and that is admirable.
We do not make the same money as Man U so unless we find someone like Chel$ki willing to throw the money away we would never compete with the mancs anyway.
Did not mean you or people on here really but i saw an article quoting these findings saying that as Arsenal had no money Wenger and Cesc were leaving bla bla bla. Just gets depressing.

I also really hope the wages talk coming out of City and Madrid is bollocks, other teams simply cannot compete with players who are not even that great being paid over £100k a week. Should only be the elite few that get that kind of money.
I must admit I had to have a wry smile at fans of the "big four" calling for ways to combat Man City's extra-spending power. It is the "big four"'s spending power that allowed them to get where they are now and to dominate English and European competition ... but now they're under threat something needs to be done apparently![]()
But unfortuntaley, thats the way you have to do it in order to succeed. Id love Arsenal to be a force with the squad they have, but I cant see it.

I'd worry about your clubs finances mate. Heard Glazier is again trying to renegotiate his debt terms. Plus 42% rise in ticket prices since 2005!
Arsenal Debt roughly 250 mill from new Stadium, plus 140 mill tied in the Highbury housing developement which is seperate from the football business. Remind me again what Utd's debt was, announced in April??

If you count Arsenal as "big four" you are wrong our spending power has probably been closer to yours than Man U or Chel$ki for years
Now do you want me to list all the players signed by Wenger since he's been there, or do you wish to cede the discussion by default?I agree you've not spent a lot of money comparatively for four years or so, but it just so happens you've won bugger all in the same timeframe.
