That is a load of horse shit. It is Harry Redknob giving 'inside information' to his buddies in the press. Ashley Young wouldn't go to Spurs, it would be a huge step down. Plus they'd have to trade a few more players than that for him, and throw some cash in too.

No, we'll have Bentley and have some genuine competition for wing places next season thanks very much.

He was the best technical defender in the league. Think Rio surpassed him personally, but Carvalho always had the ability to remain focused for longer than Rio. A combination of injuries and age means he really isn't the player he was two seasons ago -can you honestly see him playing every week along side Terry now?

Well 31 isnt as old as it used to be in football. Give him the summer to get his fitness back and he'll be far superior to Alex since he is a much better player. He was one of our best players in 07/08 so I don't see why he cant be great again.


Just reading some more about the Webb decision and i really can't fathom any reason not to use video technology now. If it was used then it showed how useful it is. It took barely any time and it solved a decision that had a big impact on the games result that otherwise would have gone unpunished. I know people claim that the controversy is part of the game, but the fact a player dived and saved it with his hand, forcing a penalty and red card, is controversial in it self.

You could introduce Video playback in dead ball situations like the Eygpt game but what about in open play? If that guy had handled it but then the keeper caught it a passed it out what would they do then? Unless you only use it on dead ball situations an system for a appeal during open play needs to made up. Like 2 manager appeals per game, captain appeals?
