It's the FUCK anyone attitude. They need a right old kicking.

No, you're completely wrong, tbh, they have a fuck the police attitude which means fuck the government etc - which means they think in their small brains if they just burn shit it's gonna effect the government, but ofc, it doesn't, well, it does, but it effects their neighbours directly, which is the most retarded thing out of the whole thing :(

Well they hit the stores in the retail park I work in east London. We have some builders in at the moment and one of them saw about 20 -30 blokes behind the building getting prepped and then they steamed the currys next door along with a few car loads that turned up at the same time.

I got our guys to lock down the store immediately for our safety. They grabbed and loaded stuff from currys and moved to other stores [not ours though we only sell chairs - not very interesting to them. Also although there were about 40 of them, some drove off to unload their cars and we had 20 blokes at the front watching the event]

We saw a bunch of them around the back of the store again a short while later and then the police turned up we directed them where to go as more police arrived and they steamed round after them. Then the police warned us that there were more gangs on route. Not long after that I managed to get out of the retail park as they went after the sainsburys store and the police went in there.

Was a pretty scary thing to witness but nothing compared to what happened before and since in the local and wider area. Probably why its not mentioned in the media.

I am supposed to be working a late night tomorrow for the builders in the store. Doubt I will do that now.

I was working in the city and docklands area, didnt see anything happening.

the night was filled with non stop police leaving the city (obviously heading to riots in neighbouring boroughs. Even see an armoured police convoy heading off.

Had a few jobs in lewisham which I decided not to do, and have just seen this footage from woolwich.

‪London Riots - Police Overrun in Woolwich‬‏ - YouTube

Listening to the radio on the way home, it would appear London Fire Brigade are running out of fire engines

spent all day wondering round south east london starting in Lewisham, saw it kick off there then loads of mindless destruction going on all over the place. So many small independent businesses got smahed up. Most of those involved seemed school age and rather stupid, even saw someone try and turn a bottle of wine into a molotov, that's how dumb they were. Was a bit odd just walking around amongst them, talking to them, not feeling in any danger whatsoever but all the itme all they're smashing and looting.

Seems like a nightout spilled out of control. But what do you expect with one of the most disillusioned and hopeless generations ever?

Started where i was at like 6pm.

Wouldnt be surprised to see this spread to more parts of the UK and continue again tomorrow. The fire at the Sony place looks absolutely fucking massive

Quite insane tbh. Media blowing it out of proportion or is it as bad as it is said?

Yeah the police are vastly out numbered and theres so many groups of looters everywhere, all moving around. It's all so fluid it's hard for the police to do anything, if they move from one spot, people will go there, if they stay where they are other places get looted.

I saw so many places smashed up and no sign of the police at all, except for police lines at certain places like ends of high streets.

I personally hope the army doesn't get involved after all I've seen. It'd definitely get a lot worse before it got any better if that was the case, although i'm not sure what can be done to improve the situation.

Btw i think this is the response deebs wanted (or didn't want)

I'm not justifying violence either way, christ. You call me retarded and you don't even see the point yourself. Your point is moot. It's obvious coppers are going to be shitting themselves. It's self-evident however that these things are cylical and one bad act - not, for the idiots who will say I am, that I am defending it - will beget another.
bed time i think xd

i'd like to think that if some dicks tried it in geordieland the general public would kick the shit out of them

A high street in east london, local turkish community waiting to for rioters (they managed to scare them off) - see attached image.

Also, from a friend on the high street just out side west croydon:

youths still taunting the police, but calm has returned, residents now out in force protecting the building. some of us not sleeping tonight in case they return

and a bit later:

It's 4.10am, literally just coming into my flat, about 10 residents been watching the building perimeter and helping police. We just called them to get these girls who came into steal from Tesco. They came silently with dogs and caught them all, was great to see some justice. The street is covered in glass and grime, but quiet has returned.
Tomorrow will be a sad day for England to reflect

26 year old found shot dead in his car (multiple bullet wounds), two suspects arrested - in croydon :(

What next? Those towns hits are not a target for would be looters now. Those boroughs and high streets not yet hit will be targets.

I feel residents and locals will not accept what happened yesterday, the police will have learnt from yesterday hopefully.

There's some riots in Birmingham?

More like opportunistic looting. Most of those involved were kids, co-ordinating using Blackberry Messenger and social media sites. When we had riots in the 80's they were mostly in the shitty areas like Newtown and Handsworth but these cocks have been raiding supermarkets and electrical/telephone shops in better areas like Kings Heath and the City Centre itself. Some reports that the Villa shop next to the ground has been raided too.

Turamber, it was nothing but targetted looting in London too. The media need to stop labelling these idiots as "rioters"

Absolutely disgusted by the events of overnight. We as a United Kingdom should send a message to the scum that live within our borders, we will not tolerate this type of behaviour.

Their actions are not going to hurt the government but only the general population by increasing insurance policies, council taxes etc.

Fuck Brussels, send in armed Police along with the Army. Issue a nationwide broadcast in every possible way (send a text/BBM to every mobile phone connected to the UK phone network) saying:

This is a government message. Please understand that if you charge/attack/loot from this point onward be prepared to be shot dead. Thanks.

absolute disgrace, this kind of thing doesnt really help anyone and especially not the original cause

that said the police dont exactly have a great history at handling these things (the brazillian on the tube who had a "bomb", the guy battered to death at a protest, the dude with a chair leg...) but unfortunately, as seems the case with most peaceful protests these days, scumbags have hijacked the whole thing

Inflammatory headline, in no sense there were the police charged.
