Allright, just discovered this long (and now going silly thread) and I'll throw my answer in too.

First thing, as organiser (and for second time) my thought is that Aragone should have got the first pick in that hammer. When Lews asked for it first time I agreed with it. It's true the organiser can't solo Legion, but common, what of a hassle is it to /stick and let the organiser do the yelling, chat group, get mad cause people are going all over the place, get flamed because people have problems, etc... Besides most people were already farming DF (or killing high lords) when Aragone, me and a people we met at ligen went to retake 2 mid keeps so that last hibs could re-enter DF for the raid. So please give him at least some credit.

HOWEVER, it's a problem of how it was done. Agreeing to the lottery then just keeping the hammer is just a mistake. Either oppose to that lottery and discuss it further. Anyway lottery is just last resort when agreement couldn't be reached imo.

BUT, if people are organising raids and can just loose the one drop they were after through a unlucky lottery to so that just joined, I guess after 2 or 3 times they organise it they'll get weary and give up on it.

Next thing I seen a lot of flaming CF for these raids, well what legion raid wasn't organised by CF btw? (add a great help from Wuren and Miss out of CF too). So flammers, whiners please organise next raid?

And just to point out I didn't get a single seal or drop from the last raid. Dunno where the seals have gone and don't care much really but if people are interested they should ask the group who got the drops after all. Though I got the hammer myself from the previous raid, I'll gladly help the next one, whoever organises it (unless you call me CF &"èç whatever, then don't count too much on it)

As to solve the current matter, what about redoing a raid asap?
I'll be glad to help but could one of the guilds criticizing CF so much about the organisation organise it this time for a change?

PS : to Eleasias I don't really understand your comment here? Why shouldn't so who already got a drop in a previous raid (not in the same one I think though) enter a lottery for one in a subsequent raid? I stated I'd step back for so who got absolutely none if loot was discussed away and I will still do. But if people are not willign to discuss it and want it lottoed really I don't see why I wouldn't take a chance. I lost the lotto to Iziz and allright so be it, don't see why I would go about and bitch abotu it for ages. If you apply the rule "whoever got a drop never gets another in the following raids" you'll see numbers dwindle really fast .

re-PS : I've killed Blight about 12 times and I'm still after that cloak btw, so if people are interested to trash it a couple more times, please PM me some time, a good 8 group is enough for this guy, 2 groups is a piece of cake (and can do other epic mobs too).

This whole situation only started, because we obviously had a lack of information - it seems that noone outside CF (or almost noone) knew, that Aragone wanted that hammer. If it would have been clear from the start, I think noone had objected. I think that this is the reason why Lofff started posting in /as. Well...he surely overreacted that night but when the temper is arising you do a lot of "unclever" things. So..don't start flaming Lofff, just because he may have made an mistake. After all..he didn't do it for himself, nor for his guild but for Kobold - greed was not his motivation at that time.

I did not insult you in anyway until the end, when you made your threat (which you now say was in jest, which is fine, and I apologise if so).

What you said I insulted you by was merely a request, for those people who say ill of CF, to actually let us know.. as you can imagine it is difficult to seek to resolve any problems with people, if we do not know that they exist.

Eternal/Kobold, I'm attacked for attempting to make light on a situation which everyone seems to approach with an ominous atmosphere - fine.

I make a post arguing several points, from several people, clarifying all I can, and I am attacked, for not having a life, and for something being wrong with me.

As far as I can see, my larger posts were mostly filled with reason and valid arguments, and I am given no valid rebuttals, but told, as I mentioned before, that I need a life, something is wrong with me, and I am being childish and/or lame.

The absurdity of this situation is mind boggling, but I am at ease in the knowledge that the fault does not lie with me.

On this quote i do not have much to say, but even in humour, since you protected the same view in the CG and also in the /as (and i have not said a word defending that, only that it could not be considered as "spam" since all Lofff did was a single post, where he even appologized for it. The rest was directed against him, and he tried to defend himself in the case. Well, there is no direct police in DAoC what i know, and the first and instant reply we got from the members of CF that was in the /as when posted there...was to take it to the forums. So i assume people just took that hint, since most others then me, loff, you, ortunga and grey was excluded from any information except what was said on the /as. If you however reply to the /as as the papers, and a /tell ortunga as the police, i assume you might be right, but i hardly belive he would have been taken seriously, after i saw the replies he got from most members, and since aragone had logged and could not have been spoken with. Reply: This is completly correct, he did not say this. The conflict is based on that no one in that CG, nor anyone on the raid that was around that got to hear about this, knew that Aragone had in any way a legal claim for this item. He claimed that the item was his, due to his work, and people did not respect that, and completed the roll, this way he though it had been accepted, and everyone in the CG though he just wanted the item for himself, not knowing about this arrangement with the aranger keeper thingy.

Reply: Indeed, it was, and still is i suppose. However, not everyone else knew this, and that was what made this conflict. I have spoken with the others that got this "first pick" and although it might not seem fair to you, everyone on the other raids agreed to this, and they did not on yours. This is the core of the conflict, that not everyone knew beforehand of this rule, of those in the CG at the current moment.

Organising a raid over alliance chat, and hurling accusations over alliance chat, are two very different things.

This wasnt accusations, just a plain report, without insulting, with and a pologize for spam included, and explaining that the hammer should b in kobie hands so i wasnt getting anything just pointing at it, JUST A REPORT. U got 1 point, i dont feel like it was the best channel to report that but i was pissed enuff to want everybody knowing that, why?

Alrdy explained that it was a report and why did I used /as. this quote of urs tried to explain why i did spammed insulting a couple of members (not the whole cf) abusing /as. YES i abused /as as u did and if u remember my 2nd /as msg included a "kthxbye" trying to end up it, but u keep the flames at me. so i did. we all went wrong there, only ortunga and me apologized till tha date.

Calling for people for a raid over alliance chat, requires little discussion.
Alliance chat is not for holding discussions, and especially not discussions of such a nature.

Lofff's actions are not justified, unless you support accusations against individuals going out on alliance chat, accusations which, are not so simple to deal with.

If we were to follow lofff's lead, we'd have alliance chat filled every day at least once a day.

First of all u are 100% wrong and missinformed here, there was many solutions than booting the guild, jozen was prolly the only one with brains to redirect it to a pm and ask to drop /as flames altho u were still flaming at me. I left /as. Then i was busy talking with jozen and the others (kobold, werga, ...) remaining in the cg than i didnt notice the alliance booting. Ort told me it sum mins later.
Alliance is not for such a discussion, 100% true, it was never meant to b a discussion, just a report.

Lofff is right, he brought up a just subject on as, and was flamed by primarily CF members, to which he retorted. Im glad he did, else he would be a wuss, dont think ne1 want to put up with the crapp he had to.

On the CF note id like to point out theres plenty of great ppl wearing their creepy colours, many of whom has been nice to me even tho im kinda n00bish compared to lvl 50, and i still like the guild despite there are some CF ppl whos pissing me of occasionally......

Hope other ppl can let it go like i did......
