ok I will do this while I have 5 minutes. Thanks you all, it truly means something to me and Samm that so many varied and different people wished us well.

Well the scan said we were having a girl. Then a little boy pops out.

He weighs 7lbs 14oz.

We had a home birth...never again. The doctor had prescribed the wrong painkiller so Samm couldn't have any drugs, they took half an hour to get the mask piping onto the gas/air. The midwifes mobiles were ringing constantly. One of them dropped their microphone type machine in a bowl of our dogs water.

When he came out he was facing upwards and not breathing, he was also tangled in the cord. When he plopped on the bed I glanced at him and saw a limp white little thing, next second one of the midwifes shouted "get a paramedic", which of course crushed me. I then left the room and came downstairs. It was a good five minutes before the paramedics came(fucking excellent bloke). Just as he arrived I heard my boy crying, winning the lottery wouldn't come close to the feeling I had when I heard him cry.

The labour took 6 hours which isn't bad for our first.

Samm and baby are now in the hospital and they are spending the night there to be sure.

We have no idea of a name, we were told he was going to be a she. All I know is he better get used to wearing pink because thats what colour his tops are.

So come on peeps, boys names please.

I am fucking shattered now but the happiest and proudest man on this planet.

SCALEXTRIC!

Another thing. Samm was the toughest person I have ever witnessed in all my years. Never ever have I seen 1 person with so much grit and determination in all my life.

My Sammeh is rock 'ard!

Give Samm our best Trem and look after her. We knew she was an angel (putting up with you) but a "hard angel" ;)

It did cross my mind Mankz0r, for the same reasons that I chose Grace for a girl. But Jeff is such a rubbish name(no offences Jeffs).

Grace would have been a great name for a girl. Perhaps you should call him Grace anyway.

Wow Samm, sounds like you did brilliantly! Well done girl, and congratulations!

I'm glad that everything turned out well in the end Trem! How on earth did they mistake a furry front bottom for boys bits, hmm, I dunno. Hope you didn't spend too much on baby girls clothes and decorate the nursery in pink!

6 hour labour and a home birth for a first baby, WOW, how lucky is that!

Can't wait to see him, a lovely size too!

(Mine was 15.5hrs, ventouse, double episiotomy, shoulder dystocia, failed epidural, blue baby, etc......don't plan on doing it again anytime soon)

:worthy: Samm you are a very brave lady
