It's pretty true from what I can see. My company is actually at the forefront of AI usage in our industry, years ahead of our peers in both adoption and usage, and I still think it's a hype train. Our AI lead was poached by a rival a month ago, his boss has also been headhunted now, and the development team that's been doing the middleware and data layer to integrate with ChatGPT has pretty much also been snapped up by rival firms. This is all before our bonuses and annual pension contributions are paid in January, so we know they got massive offers, or they'd have waited.
