Agree Tom.

But taking a photo of a little girl peeing in a park. It's not automatically pornographic. In fact - it's something to be laughed at that's happening in a public place. A keen-eyed photographer could take a photo of that and normal people would go "ah cute". And that's how it should be.

You got the ubiquitous photo of you and maybe your brothers or sisters when you were kids - in the bath from the 1970's that your mum or dad took? Covered in suds and smiling innocently? Maybe pulled out at your 18th birthday by tearful parents? That's not even in public? It's more akin to that.

Is this pornographic? I'm pretty sure someone could wank to it.

I think we have to be very careful about calling for legislation about what we can and cannot view that happens in public places. Because it's very easy for public spaces to become heavily regulated spaces. When the answer is - if you don't want people to see what you do, don't do it in public.

Gwadien's immediate reach for the worst examples ever (yeah, I clearly support upskirting because I think public photography needs protecting) is just daft. And we've legislated against upskirting. But if you're fucking in a side alley and people plaster it all over the internet? Tough shit. Don't fuck in public.

Your "telephoto lens of a baby's privates" argument is clearly a similar argument to Gwadien's and not what's being talked about.

You're saying you can do what you like in a public place, I don't see the difference in taking a photo from afar vs taking a photo up someone's skirt.

Obviously it's not pornographic, I never said that, hence why I said it has nothing to do with porn, it's about having your face and your genitals anywhere without your permission.

Jesus Gawd, you're being ridiculous. If you truly can't see the Glaring difference between those two things, I worry about your state of mind. Let me make it clear for you.

1: A woman is going about their day and they just happen to be wearing a skirt. Someone else takes a photo up that skirt without her knowledge. The woman isn't doing anything that would expose her genitals so that's a massive invasion of privacy.

2: Someone decides to do something, in a public space that exposes their genitals and someone takes a photo. Doesn't matter whether it's close up or with a telephoto lens, it's hardly an invasion of privacy since they've put themselves in that position.

In regards to that article, posting the pictures to a porn site is a dick move but not illegal. We shouldn't be legislating against the photo's you can take, we should be legislating against the sort of content porn sites are allowed to have uploaded

Since no crime was committed, the judge was right to deny their case. Scouse is absolutely correct on this and those disagreeing should have a word with themselves.

I kinda like Jordan Peterson - he's collected, he definetely thinks before he speaks and has a skill to make his argument that few people have. That prompted me to buy 2 of his books (which I didn't read yet). Can't say I agree with most points that he's making from a political perspective, but when it comes to human psychology he's rather good at nailing the human psyche.

But now, I think I've discovered someone that I like more. And that person is Sam Harris. His view of the world and morality better matches my own, and he put Peterson in a corner I think.

(Apologies if this is old news, or if I'm late to the party - but I find this stuff fascinating and enjoyable to consume)

As with all of these characters trust those that seek truth doubt those that claim to have found it ;)

Peterson is a big douche who only has a knack for making nonsensical bullshit sound vaguely plausible until you actually analyse it.

Archetypes my bellend.

ooo, I like that we're going more with Norway tbh... much easier to deal with than France... could prob deal with Belgium too but I think the Norwegians would be easier.

Well multiple options are always good, they'll be of benefit to both sides.

No surprises there. The church is corrupt as fuck. Celibacy is unnatural.

As a weird aside. I don't know why I'm a bit annoyed by "Brigitte" being the story told given that the vast majority of victims have been pre-adolescent boys, but it's certainly not to belittle her.
