AJ will fight Fury next, it's unavoidable now. Fury will beat him if he boxes like he did against Pulev, won't be able to let Fury off the hook like he did Pulev in the 3rd.

Woke up from a weird dream

I went to a sweet shop to buy £2 worth of sweets, and the guy tried to sell me me a 10lb turkey for £157. But the turkey was bright red, glazed in that stuff toffee apples are covered in. He said I had to buy it because he'd just covered it in cling film. I tore the bird in half and said its a chicken not a turkey - you can tell by the brain. The shopkeeper apologised and I walked out without my sweets.

WTF is that about?

Omg according to Mongolian tradition you're now destined to embark on a great campaign to take over the world for yourself.

Grats man.

No shops for you after the 24th. :(
I wasn't aware of the existence of such things anyway. Not been into a non-food-based shop this year. Who fucking needs them?!

The thing with us is family & friends - like for everyone. But when lockdown restrictions are raised our friends and family are still distant - so we've not seen hardly anyone this year. Had some friends stay in their camper vans over the summer.

Honestly, it's generally quite easy but the longer it goes on the less compliance you're going to get across the population. For wales it was obvious when they did their firebreak that they should have kept it going for a couple more weeks. Graph shows it - it was effective, but called off too soon. Then we'd have had a completely open xmas and new year - able to go to pubs and such.

The crap about shuting pubs at 6pm - they're already shut all day. How can they realistically open? So, we're in a sort of shit lockdown anyway.
Time to form an extended household bubble methinks, if that still applies.

It's all south wales too. Fucking Merthyr Tydfil and the likes. I've hated that place for over twenty years (and posted about it here). ;)

Do you let couriers stay over night after they've delivered to you?

fuck me hahahaha. Can someone just burn twitter down?

See I still don't think it's Twitter's fault.

Why do companies respond like this? It baffles me.

I'm sure if you got together 1k twitterers and got them to tweet to Tesco to stop selling bananas because it's racist, then they would consider it.

They have taken a post on twitter as being representative of the majority and mostly its just a noisy minority.
however if the press see it the publish that tweet as fact. And say everyone is talking about this. Where as most ppl dont give a fuck one way or another.

twitter makes minority views very visible and people like to join things that seem popular.

Someone writes a book about cancel culture.

Someone complains about book about cancel culture.

Publisher cancels book.

As Job would say 'U cudnt mek eet awp'

Author pockets initial publisher advance.

Author sells book to another publisher for even bigger advance.

New publisher markets "TEH BUK THEY TRIED TO BANNN!"!"!"!"!

Profit.

I don't think books should be banned, whatever they contain. Don't like it, don't buy it, or even better, buy it, read it and challenge it.

Its a very slippery slope. But like any private entity, the publisher can choose to publish or not publish whatever they like.

It did make me laugh when all the Penguin staff got in a tizz a couple of weeks ago because Jordan Peterson had a new book out, and they didn't want to be associated with such "hateful speech".

Until someone pointed out Penguin still published Mein Kampf......

The bbc say she questioned the age of one of the prophets wives.

The Indy says she called him a pedophile.

Which one was it, its very important considering one is scared of saying it.

Who cares.

If we believe in free speech then if she called mohammed a gay-loving paedo cocksucking theif then that's fair game.

Edit: In fact, the biggest outrage of that sentence should be my spelling of thief.
