Nope..in fact just the ability to go over 15 or a throttle is a moped...I rarely use it on the road..little jumps between trails, the tyres sound like tractor wheels.You got insurance for that @Job? The minute you chip it so it goes over 15.5mph you're running an illegal moped, for which you need tax and insurance.
But you do insurance, don't you? You're not averse to that?
It has a legal/ full power switch, but thats not legal either, the chances of a copper being bothered if Im riding at 15mph, practically zero, its not like theres any coppers anyway, half the vans driving past me, the drivers on the phone.
My new controller has bluetooth and you can switch it between legal/full power from your phone and disconnect the throttle.
Im old, I ride sensibly, far more sensibly than most mtb riders on shared trails.
