If you live 10 mins from the school then definitely walk. I do that plus a min 10 min walk to the train station after that.

If you need to drive then you need to be shot. And if you need to drive in a great big SUV to drop off one child you need to be shot twice.

I only ever sit with the engine idling when I'm in an electric car charging bay whilst I'm waiting for the wife at the station.

Can't find the thread / posts on this, but on the subject of "We're a Christian country" and I said "we're moving away from that", well:

Religious affiliation in Scotland 'declines sharply' - BBC News

I don't know why but in my head when I hear the word "Kirk" (outside of Star Trek) I always think of the most depressing church in the world, where everyone is scowling and probably freezing cold with a force ten gale blowing outside.

Liking Frankie Boyle's New World Order. Not traditional pure comedy but at least resurrecting the old tradition of comedy holding government to account and highbrow social commentary...

There is no problem..well there is of course, a lot of people in a rather erratic country at best are pissed off about it, which is bound to end in at least some tears.
Stability of society quite often relies on certain conservative limits, you can't keep kicking down the fences without cracks appearing.
