Did I ever tell you guys I used to run a mobile website back in the late 90s/2000s, started off with actual wbmp greyscale images, then moved on to video, updated daily with all kinds of mobile stuff, it had 150K hits a day, made me over 1500 a month in subs and adverts.
Got bored with it after a while and the stuff I optimised for mobile starting appearing everywhere, I use to encode all the funny videos of the day in 3GP and 240x160, had all the phone emulators, screensavers..I actually made 500 quid by selling the 'Oh man' audio clip from Celeb Jungle.
I was pushing 800GB a month off Powweb servers, not bad for a mobile site.
I actually had my own account manager with Banjo, who were mobile micro payments company.
Thinking of starting it up again, got a bit more time and see if anyone remembers it.

Did I ever tell you guys how I started Apple after I had invented morphine and landed on the moon? Made me about 50 quid a month for a solid 56 year period, but I got bored of the life in luxury, so I sold my space shuttle and turtleneck sweater. I never quit the morphine though

So, after 5 years I may be getting a new phone. My Samsung Galaxy S2 may get replaced by the Note7. Impressive spexs, but not cheap. £700+ for a SIM free. Out August
Damnit I wasn't even thinking about a new phone but this gets announced tomorrow and it does look good. Nobody knows if it will have the edge display or not, they're only going to be releasing it either with or without apparently, not both. Ridiculously powerful, as well.

But it's Android... I've had almost a dozen Android phones ranging from low end to top spec and within 6 months every one of them has started fucking up. Every single one. I've also had 4 iPhones and I've had zero issues with any of them. I'll never go back to Android.

I haven't owned a single Android but can confirm testimony's from friends which backs up your claim. Apparently they go downhill pretty quick. Though, my previous Lumia phones never had that issue, and now the Iphone 5s works like a charm, so perhaps an update to the upcoming 7 soon..

Ok, have fun with that. I wouldn't touch an Apple product with a bargepole and have had my last 2 Android phones for 3 years each without any issues that I can remember. The Galaxy S2 had CyanogenMod on it but the Note 3 has had its default software since the day I got it and it still runs like a charm. Everyone has different experiences with Nvidia vs AMD, Android vs iOS etc so it's a pointless discussion but, to have problems with almost a dozen Android phones, you must've been doing something wrong. As for the low end, cheap tat is cheap for a reason. Lower quality components and poorer build quality. You don't get that with Apple because they only produce a couple of models for each generation and there's obviously no third party handsets (another reason to dislike them).

Yeah my Note 3 has survived 3 years of me using it as a phone and work tool, its been dropped out of lofts, downstairs, into wet mortar, sat on, thrown in the skip under rubble, the earmike is faulty cos I dropped it in a bowl of water and its gets in through the headphone jack, and the screen has one long crack, the camera glass is smashed as well, still takes perfect pictures...tbh I cant imagine either Android and Apple have any major differences to make either survive the world better.

I'm probably the only Windows Phone geek around

I'm not big on apps and gazillion freeware games, I use my phone for business and personal - it does a stellar job at both.

Never crashes, UI responsive and intuitive, the damn thing just works.

I hope the X3 Elite will not be in the 600-700$ range.

Came across this site, maybe everyone knows it, but it has long lists and articles on cool places to go in the world, good for a read when bored.

Not interested tbh, not going in the direction I want, actually been looking at 200 quid ebay chinese phones, some serious specs for your money..it will get you quadcore 1.8ghz, sony dual camera and flash, twin sim, finger scanner, android pay, waterproof to spec, the only downsize is only 1280 screen, but in reality, all apps and browsers only run at that anyway.

What were you expecting?
To be more impressed. :)

There were rumours circulating up until this morning about it having much swifter inside bits and more RAM. There are several things that it does that would make me want to upgrade from my Note 3, though. Larger battery, wireless charging, USB Type-C reversible connector, much faster CPU/GPU, more RAM, able to be 1m underwater for 30 minutes (including the S-Pen). The iris scanner looks like a bit of a gimmick but could be useful, also a fingerprint scanner. Minimum of 64 GB storage with SD card support up to 256 GB is nice too.

I'll see when some reviews come out.

Or in your case; #reperzent

It's quite a sad story really.

A new head came in when I started and he really turned it around - started becoming a middling performing school in Leicester (out of 25 or so schools)

Then he retired, and a new head came in and immediately went on sick leave, all the senior staff started jumping ship, then all the good teachers, realising it would be largely impossible to get a new job with 'Taught at one of the 10 worst schools in the UK' on their CV.

Committed to nurturing and developing young minds, then.

Doing what's right vs teaching politics.

It's a bit like if you apply for a job and then you're offered and interview, and then you decline the interview, or go to the interview then decline it afterwards, all the headteachers are informed you've done this, making it virtually impossible to get a job in that area.
