That mentality hasn't changed. As evidenced by Job, sadly :(

I haven't blamed Juve. It was two sets of fans fighting, equally culpable and utterly common at the time. The state of the stadium meant that it turned out the way it did. Tragic.

True. And look at the continuing fighty state of Italian football.

(And I don't recall UEFA ever being held to account (despite them refusing to consider venue change on safety grounds)).

Thatcher personally pushed to use Heysel to collectively punish all UK football fans to bring about a sea change in mentality. And it worked - we're a lot less violent now.

But moral (if not legal) culpability for the fight lay with both sets of supporters. There's no doubt about that.

14 Liverpool fans were tried for manslaughter, no Juventus fans; the "both sets of fans were at fault" narrative just isn't true; most of the Juve fans killed were running away. And Italian soccer violence actually became a thing long after Heysel. The rise of Ultra fighting really ramped in the late 90s. (Ultras have been around for donkey's years but they weren't particularly violent until quite recently).

You couldn't make it up, because he did such a good job of covering it up, you simply COULD NOT MAKE IT UP.

He came across as innocent to the public and therefore it was fine, until it call came out recently.

Seriously.

It's mental.

I am restoring my old bike (from my college days), mostly just to hang on the wall and look nice. I am having lots of fun cleaning up the existing equipment, and replacing old knackered stuff with "new old stock" from Ebay. Just today, this lovely 7-speed cassette arrived. It's about 25 years old and still in its original packaging. I also spent a shit load of money on a small chainring, and an even stupider amount of money on some very rare bar tape I found that is an exact match of what used to be there.

The frame is currently at the bike shop who originally made it (around 1980), being slightly modified and then resprayed to the colours I rode it.

I despise those type of specialized shitheads that comes up with this click bait.
And, why the fuck duck do we need to list things in a top 10/20?

Pakistan is a shithole due to its people, same as Egypt.

Go back to the regular run of the mill type stuff you post.
What makes this shit is the "Look how shit this place is!", followed immediately by 20 reasons why it's not. Fuck off with your gutter sarcasm.

as you can see I made a bit of a mistake and failed to lock the cheese in properly. in the baking it leaked out and some was lost for ever. this made the thing drier and more meatloaf-ish. it's yummy but tbh I was hoping more for some oozing cheesy goodness. The mistake was that I made layers of meat-cheese-meat and hoped the bacon was enough to hold everything in. Next time I'll build up a layer of meat on the outside of the springform as well.

recipe :

2kg lean butchers mince
2 onions, diced
4 cloves garlic, minced
a bunch of flat leaved parsley, finely chopped
4 red "Spanish" peppers (the Dutch call them that). They're Capsicum Frutescens I guess. Chopped. I leave the seeds in.
Salt, pepper, to taste
Enough bacon to line the bottom, sides and top of whatever shape you'll be making. I guessed fairly accurate at about 450gr sliced for a 30cm/diameter springform.
Enough cheddar to make about half an inch thick layer in the springform. I augmented mine with some manchego I had that needed using.

Edit: also, in baking it lost a good half pint worth of liquid. some fat from the meat and water from the veggies I guess. I got rid of that half way through. I decided it was done when it's core had reached about 75C. Depends on taste. In my case I had taken this into account as I also want to enjoy it cold as a brekky thing and I'm not overly keen on rare meats.

Fuck the stupid National...just a chavs version of Ascot, the normally quiet pub by me has allready had two arrests as the frickin toothless turn up in suits and short skirts/orange legs.
I went once and they made us have a three minute silence for the Pope.
