Our president likes to take rugby to the masses. that means he gets lots of money for playing home games at big grounds away from home. A bit idiotic as we then lose home advantage.

Anyone been to krakow. And especially auschwitz ? Thinking of booking a few days and taking in the camp in the summer.

I went to Auschwitz on a college trip a few years ago. It's depressing as heck, but a lot of interesting stuff to see. Really makes you see how far the nazis went in their campaign, and wonder how so many people let such a huge thing happen... You'll be needing to check out the cheap booze in Krakow by the end of it.
Schindler's factory is worth a look as well, even if you're a bit hungover from sampling cheap Polish vodka...

We stayed here; Google

Super cheap, and it's a good quality hotel and cheap - right next to the train station (Train from Airport)

Go to Auschwitz with a tour - Unless you're driving, you have to get a coach there anyway, so you may aswell (There's not trains etc [ha?;/])

We went without, and the coach is full of 'studenty' types, so I'd imagine you'd want to avoid that.

Also make sure you go to the Salt Mines, I'd say they were on a par with Auschwitz.

Try to stay away from the old town for food and stuff, it's all pretty expensive, and not 'proper'.

We went to a restaurant opposite the old town entrance thing, 'propa' expensive, but couldn't break £20 between two of us.

My next door neighbour is listening to Christmas music. We've just had Frosty the Snowman, and now its Last Christmas by Wham.
