ID cards were introduced in this country at the start of the Second World War. You'd think that at the end, in 1945, they'd have been cancelled.

Well to be fair, that was related to rationing I believe, which didn't end until 1952.

Twas, but still was a certain degree of keeping out the undesirables.

I'm doing a module this year with a guy who is a WW2 British Propaganda (he wears flipflops to lectures)

Amazing the amount of stuff which was used to show the us vs them element.

Reminds me of brown people :)

Cradle to the grave hasnt been too bad. Hignfy is the best i like mtw too. Mrs like wilty and not going out. I am liking the celts on bbc2 atm for docs. But i have a soft spot for alice roberts

Peep Show is still going, although it's about to head into its last series. I generally ignore Mitchell on panel shows (I generally ignore panel shows tbh, I don't remember him being particularly bad and he is from my hometown) but anything he does with Webb is usually great.

A friend of mine at a company we do business with set up a custom transport rule to delete spam with certain keywords. As it was just aimed at spam he used the bounce back "4.0.4 Email not found, it looks like shit so I flushed it." This was fine till someone else added a a few more words to be blocked including "Invoice". Until we figured it out every email out accounts team sent in and who knows how many more people got the bounce back. The amazing part for me was my accounts team had no idea why I found it funny until I realised users do not read the reason for the bounce back :)
