Speaking of driving, I booked twenty lessons today. It cost me ~£450. Fucking hell. Not only that, but three of those are basically the driving test. Oh and that was another £62.

How many lessons did it take you guys to learn? My test is in a months time. I really fucking hope I can do it in 17 lessons (hours). I had about 5 lessons when I was 19 but when I saw the car insurance prices I just gave up.

Oh and any recommendations for a first car between £2,000-£3,000?
Personally I went for a vauxhall corsa, after a short stint in a really old fiesta. I got the 1.0 version of the 2001 model (with the lights up the back pillar), was reasonably priced to insure, and the small engine isn't too bad in a car that size, though if there isn't much difference for insurance, the 1.2 might handle hills a touch better. My main reasoning though was that is was cheap. Insurance, maintenance, fuel, pretty cheap in all three.

Yeah, new, inexperienced drivers in classic Minis are a really good idea...

They are a lot of fun to drive. We were never put off by the fact the engine had no where to go but through your legs if you crashed.

And insurance would be cheaper. Maintenance is easy. Perfect fun run around for a new driver.

It's like putting a spike in the centre of the steering wheel. You drive carefully ;)

Writing a report for one of my modules about the interaction in museums, I've never written a report before, it's laughable.

I hope you use more full stops in your report than your sum total from all your posts here. :)

It impresses me that the clever people can predict the exact path of total solar eclipses that won't happen for 20 years. I guess it's just maths but still, I'm impressed.

And this is what one looks like from space:

came home last night and it was early. decided to check out the olde youtube and ended up watching DAYZ videos by some dude named Frankie1080p. Some hilarious stuff in there from simply playing the game well, and then it was 6.30 in the morning. I don't even play DAYZ ffs.

5 academy awards. Same year Shawshank got 0
And that is why I pay no attention to awards Shawshank is a far superior film for me.

Also The Hurt Locker won an award "worst war film but directed by a women so we should pretend its good" I think it was.

Shawshank is a brilliant movie. Braveheart is a giant pile of wank. There to serve the ego of Mel Gibson and nothing else.

Two of my childhood mates were in Braveheart, one of which would not shut the fuck up about it all through highschool.

Someone in my chemistry class summed it up "Andy, yer a prick" ... "but I was in braveheart" ... "ok, you're a semi-famous prick".

This is Metacritic is the one, because it mixes reviews from plebs and from newspapers an such.

Most reviewers are still hollywood bias though mind you.
