Well I asked my other half and his opinion (as he is still considered within the acceptable age to be a faux hipster although he is not), I think it is valid..
1) boy hipsters have stricter rules than girl hipsters (goes against the real meaning of someone at the forefront of trends)
2) boy hipsters must have a silly mustache
3) jumpers are only hipsterish if worn in the middle of summer
4) there are no lenses or fake lenses in their glasses
For me I stand by my point which is a true hipster would never describe themselves as part of another social group
