Since starting uni I thought about joining the generic sports I've done all my life football/rugby etc, I thought fuck it a fresh start etc picked something different and interesting. Karate. Have to say I'm really liking it the teacher definitely helps as he's pretty forgiving as we are beginners, and has a joke as to why not to do a particular technique in a certain way for example. One thing that was caught in the first couple session is that I'm pretty tense all the time, so just learning to breath through techniques and take it easy was pretty good.

I will be taking my first grading in December, but I'm quite comfortable with the basics we have been learning.

Loch Morar in Scotland is Britain's deepest lake. Over 1000 feet. Deep enough to submerge the Eiffel Tower with room for a house on top.

In a list drawn up by the British Film Institute in 2000, voted by industry professionals, Fawlty Towers was named the best British television series of all time.

I was going to go with a "get out" picture, then "burn in hell", then decided on;

Anyone watched Citizen Khan on BBC1? Watching it now. Its bloody terrible. I know the BBC want to be seen to be very politically correct, but couldn't they get better writers? I really want to laugh, but I can't. Its not even remotely tickling my funny bone.

Tell me, do they not show stuff in front of studio audiences anymore? Is everything canned laughter?
