I don't really know if I feel anything about that, Job. Admittedly, @Raven would rather bash you than discuss it tho.

What I will say is that Anders Brevik was probably not unobservant :)

Why would I want to discuss anything with someone as cerebrally challenged as @Job? I may as well debate with a 2 year old fascist. Idiots like @Job should not be engaged, they should be ridiculed for being massive racist, ill educated, closed minded, little England dongers.

Oh, I saw Patrick Kielty and Cat Deeley today walking into Scotts restaurant in Mayfair, around 2:30pm. Cat Deeley is very pretty.

Because that's the only way people will learn.

Despite whether you like him or not - the fact he has pointed out about the ethnic make up of Britain's second biggest city is true. And surprising (to me at least).

Why not say why you don't care about that rather than bat him off? You only reinforce opinions through a religious-like denial of existence...

I'm suprised noones tried to ban them over here yet

I think that will happen when 3d printers get to the point that they threaten the profits of big corporations. I think the "guns" thing that's in the media constantly is going to be the "think of the children" argument that governments will use to "control" the "dangerous" technology.

I wouldn't steal a ferrari. But you can bet yo' ass that when I can print them out me, all my mates, and everyone who wants one is going to have one.

Ferrari will go out of business, yep. But fuck em eh?

That's why 3d printing will be banned. Or serverely controlled.

The Police are going to look pretty stupid on this one.

I'm suprised noones tried to ban them over here yet despite the possibility that they could start a whole new industry.
Ban the printers? Or printed guns? Printed guns are already illegal, you need to be a licenced arms manufacturer. Although I'm not quite sure about making your own. At the very least you'd have to have a firearms licence to own. Even then you'd be restricted to low power rifles and shotguns, since most other guns are illegal to own.

Everyone is missing the obvious..the bullets are metal and the shot or bullet head is going to have to be something heavy or it will just sting someone.

Not really missing anything. With a license you can buy a single shot .22 AR-15 and bullets legally in this country. With a 3D printer you print a new receiver and firing pin and make it fully automatic.

Making bullets isnt that hard, tbh. Any competent machinist could do it. Gun powder is also easy if you know what you're doing. Gun powder bullets wont be as good as cordite ones but they still do the trick!

That is not the big fear in the UK. The big fear is that people can make something that is very tightly controlled. When a murderer can just melt the barrel and print a new one every time to change the rifling it makes tracking gun crime almost impossible.

Isn't creating such a barrel currently beyond the technology? What you can build at the moment are specific parts but you'd have to be a brave man to assemble and fire a printed gun - high likelihood of catastrophic failure.

Yep, for now the most you can do is make a firing pin to activate a decommissioned gun. Or make a receiver to turn a single shot semi auto into a fully auto gun. But going down the road as you get a more heat resistive material things can get worse.

You can make simple guns without a 3D printer.

Big woop.

Oh and no plastic that can be 3D printed will leave marks on a metal bullet.

Seriously? The components to build a Nuclear Bomb can be made with any number of things. The problem is getting the fissionable material. You're like the inbred child of the BNP and the Daily Fail.
