The nerd in me that keeps an eye on cgi developments thinks this is pretty exciting stuff. Hair and fur will be much more lifelike and more importantly, much easier to get much more lifelike.

I thought LA Noire was decent in that respect (lip sync and facial animation), the rest of the characters' bodies kinda let them down though.

It was a start, but at a major visual cost to everything else. It demands a LOT of processing power and as such they had to make the rest of the game fugly as hell to compensate.

It was still a long way off of feeling real though.
