They will be introducing an industry led feed in tarriff, and a lot of solar owners are going to get a shock at how little their shite solar electricity is worth in the real world.
Unless you buy an electric car..charge it in the day and drive at night.

Personally I would invest in some sort of solar battery at same time as solar panels.

You know how ppl say if you invested £10K in Microsoft shares in the 80s you'd be a multi millionaire now?

What's the next Microsoft type investment ?

Companies working on creating (nanotech? ) batteries for electric cars? Cos current electric car batteries are heavy, bulky, and inefficient. It's inevitable. Combustion engines are going the way of Betamax and VHS. There won't be a vinyl cult resurgence.

You'd have more energy available to you if you ripped out all the batteries from an EV and replaced them with ham sandwiches.

Stretching the definition of available just a touch.

It shows that the people that owned the Ferraris are cunts.

Why? They've got the money to afford the cars, whether they worked for that money or it's family money is irrelevant. You're telling me that if you owned a very expensive car and someone hit it completely by accident, you'd forgive them and not expect recompense for the damage?

The shit is flying about child decapitator David McGreavey being released as they wont say where he will be staying.
They tried to release him 12 years ago in Liverpool..by pure chance someone recognised him walking through the city and they quickly put him back in jail when the story broke.

I think if I had the money to afford a car like that then I could see that me losing out on £200k (shared amongst the group, mind you) would be nothing compared to what the dude is going to go through, I'd imagine that they were fully aware of his situation too.

TBH, I think anyone whos private car is above 200K should have to accept other people insurance doesnt have to cover anything above that.

Fuck you driving around in something worth more than a house and expect us to have to pay for damaging it.

The "fuck 'em they can afford it" defence (I notice our resident bellend agrees with you by the way). So where does that particular bit of logic end up then?

It ends up with mr rich guy having to pay even higher premiums for his car.
Which...is fair enough.

It's not the 'fuck 'em they can afford it defence'

It's a 'There's a dude who's obviously very poor and has no way to afford to pay for the bill himself, so maybe the dudes who probably could comfortably spend that amount of money could step in and tell him not to worry about it.'

It was multiple cars too, which means multiple owners, it wouldn't have been that much of a dent to their wallets.

It's just stupid logic as where does that particular "you are richer than me" end? Someone who earns £50k vs £20k? Who works that out?
Its moronic.

You park on a street where kids are playing football, one of the kids smacks it at your car and breaks your wing mirror.

Do you find the kid and get him to cough up - going to his parents if necessary or will you say nah don't worry about it and sort it?

Shit happens sometimes in life. I just think society is nice enough to realise that a rich bloke doesn't need the money whereas the poor bloke needs it to feed his family.

Not surprised with the reaction with the Tory fans here :)

Edit - also why are you talking about £40k and £20k? We're talking about people clearly going to be on 100k+.

I’d find the kid’s parents; wing mirrors cost hundreds these days. And I’m not remotely Tory. I just respect private property

You put the materialistic cost of a few super cars owned by rich people, over the life of a poor bloke who fucked up.

I'd say that's very Tory.

Government fault tbh.

Bloke is at fault for the accident, but shouldn't be allowed to drive without 3rd party insurance. The system is at fault if people are allowed to drive without insuring other people's losses.

Also, ferrari owners shpuld be insured for their losses. Yes, they can afford it. As long as we allow private ownership then the government needs to legislate.

Nobody is a cunt here but government.
