I have absoluteley no doubts someone is embezzling somewhere because it just doesn't add up how long it's taken given how much they've had, there was even talks awhile ago of them running out of funds.

Hadn't heard that. Link? Frankly its great news; takes away a bunch of shitty legacy support issues (you wouldn't believe the shit I had to go through to stop the bank supporting versions of iOS that Apple don't support themselves).

I would also hazard a guess it's to with security issues. Having to maintain so many versions etc must become a huge headache and be quite costly.
