If you can't understand why it's so fucked up for a POLICE DEPARTMENT to post something like this on Twitter then you're an absolute retard.
I thinked it's fucked up that anybody uses twitter. I expect nothing but retarded shit on it. And cops aren't known for their intellectual chops...

Cops in america name suspects all the time. Its not the same as here.

You are putting your values on another culture you know little about.

So I'm in Gamestop today (my daughter wanted a Roblox card) and I see Battlefield is going WW2 again (I'm utterly out of touch with proper gaming at this point). Looks interesting, but what's with all the pretty women in heavy eye make up? Is it a fantasy WW2 thing they're doing? Poster art looked like WW2 meets Sons of Anarchy meets DOA2 (told you I was out of touch).

It's kinda Steampunkish, go with BF1 and I guarantee you a fuck tonne of joy and happiness. Really good game.

Its called common decency, malicuous communicarion is a very dangerous catch all offence indeed.
He should be publically shamed for it, not arrested.

This is actually outrageous. It happened in a public place, it's public knowledge. Or are only the press allowed to post pictures of fatal crashes? - I've noticed that there's a picture of it in the linked story. Did they make arrests at the BBC? I'm pretty sure that's more widely-spread now it's a national news item.

If there's a dead guy on the ground, and I take a photo, and send it to a mate - tough shit - it's what I saw. When I saw it it became part of my life, my experience, so what I do with it is up to me.

Now, I wouldn't personally choose to share something like that, or take a photo in the first place, but it's not a criminal act in any way. If, however, I did, and someone became distressed at that - tough shit. Life is occasionally distressing.

It's like living in some bizarre communist social state but with the worst economic system known to mankind. The worst of both worlds.

I thought we lived in the "free" world - and that was the bonus for having to put up with capitalism :(

Omg don't use social media and never allow cookies; they'll just track you!!

Do you have a smartphone with apps you have installed? Do you have a gmail account? Fine, you're getting tracked

There's a minimum amount of data you need to leak. But handing over your life history, friends and family, what you do, how you feel, to a company like facebook for *what* exactly?

I agree with Scouse, if you want to take photos and then post them online, that's your business. The ironic thing is, if he had done it on FH instead of Facebook, he would not have been prosecuted, because tracking him down would have been too much effort.

Lesson there is, d ont use your real name on the internet.

As for the baby milk stealing woman, almost all newspapers in the USA publish lists of people arrested locally, including name, age, address and sometimes occupation. They include charges too. They become public records that way.

This is concerning, if this trend continues we will be destroyed by trees.
https://psmag.com/environment/the-planet-now-has-more-trees-than-it-did-35-years-ago

The authors admit the figures are contentious:
The authors note these numbers "contradict" data from the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, which collects national forest data from countries' forestry departments and has historically been seen as the most consistent source of informations on forest cover

But regardless - the problem here is that the tropical rainforests are the most biodiverse on the planet, which is a huge loss, and deforestation releases stored carbon. New coniferous growth (which is the majority of new planting) isn't particularly biodiverse, doesn't lock in as much carbon and doesn't compensate for carbon released by deforestation.

Getting stuff off Amazon dirt cheap because they've put the wrong price on :)

I got 12 marker pens for £2.76.

Just rechecked: they're now selling the same pack of 12 for £22.96

:D

Does Facebook force you to share your story or personal information? Does Twitter or Instagram?

Mick: Paddy, if you were stranded on a desert island, who would you most like to be stranded there with you?
Paddy: My uncle Tommy.
Mick: Why is that?
Paddy: He's got a boat.

If you use it as it's being designed to be used you can't help it.

And for what? Meet people in real life. Catch up with them. Cuts out the bullshit.

Anyone been to Columbia?

Wanna know how safe or unsafe Bogota is.

I looked and most of the country is a dont travel unless essential. But some areas including bogota are green.

Still a bit anxious about the prospect hehe

You clearly have no clue what you're talking about if you think that's all social media is.

I've been, but it was a while ago now (10 years), but before the FARC surrender. I went mainly along the north coast from Venezuela to Cartagena. I got involved in riot when I'd been in the country about 20 minutes (literally), but after that it was fine, no safety concerns and it didn't feel any riskier than anywhere else in South America (and a whole lot safer than Brazil). Cartagena is very nice by the way, would recommend.

*Edit" lad I was travelling with liked Bogota so much he stayed for years and got a job as a "gringo" extra on Colombian Soap Operas (he was a tall blonde-haired Manc).

I use them to get information. Not supply it. I hardly post on either facebook or twatter. But read the posts others do.

And that gives up loads of information. You *can't* use it without becoming product.

I don't get why people don't understand this. It's not like the Cambridge Analytica scandal was even slightly a surprise to anyone. But nobody blinked.

Ip address and what i viewed. Some idea of my location. Thats ok with me. I get enough out of it to not mind what i trade for it.

Of course its not free. You are paying with information that they use to target ads at you and stuff.

I will buy you a tin foil hat so you can sit in your lead lined room.
