All this talk about the ones who returned because they didn't mind it.

What about the ones who didn't return?

What about them? We already know loads of them hated the experience so it stands to reason a load of previous hostesses hated it as well. The reason for pointing out some of these women didn’t hate the experience is to show things aren’t as simple as the all-women-are-victims narrative that’s increasingly everyone’s go-to position on all matters of sexual politics.

They were paid to do a job. If they didnt like it that much they could have walked out. But they stuck it out for the money. Many many people stick out jobs they hate.

They were not forced to stay, or forced to sign up in the first place.

Its entirely different if they were not allowed free will. But i havent seen anything that has been said that shows they were forced to stay against their will. That would be kidnapping etc.

Careful making statements like this, if you ever get a job in the public light it'll come back to haunt you in about a decade.

Yet another beyond pathetic bit of manufactured hysteria. I often wonder if the journalists at the Guardian etc actually think this shit is important when they publish this type of shit, or a just as cynical as most of us who read it.

Phil Neville: New England women's boss will not face FA charge over sexist tweets

So the FA has a "threshold" for sanctions over sexist remarks. That means there must be some kind of scale. Maybe they should make it public then we can all have a shorthand that we can use to regulate our expected outrage.

We could call the "Weinstein Scale". Obviously sexual assault in the workplace is 1 Weinstein, then you could go up to 10 Weinsteins for violent rape, 100 for anything with kids and 1/1000000 of a Weinstein for 7 year old Twitter comments made as an obvious fucking joke.

I wonder if these papers now have people whos sole job is to read back thrpugh decades of social media posts when ever anyone of note gets a new job.

It would probably take about 10 minutes to knock together a scraper that gets all of someone's tweets into a searchable database.

The Judge in the Gymnast abuse case throwing away his letter to the court.
So now Judge Judy is the norm in the States...we have a reality show President and now reality show judges.
These days are awesome.

I was in Italy yesterday when the whole President's Club thing broke, and I struggled to find anyone over there who found an issue - in fact most of them asked how you got tickets...

If I were ever to become a public figure, and I was linked worth my FH account, I'll have much worse Internet history to worry about..

Just reading twitter and its full of posts about the ‘party’. Loads of females being reighteous. A lot of mails being complicit. Some males being pulled apart for having a different mind to the sheep.

Makes me think it wouldnt be a bad time to nuke the lot of us back to the dark ages and start all over.

It really is a sjw world at the moment and if you were born more than 20 years ago you are now an outcast.

I don't know where this idea that it's the youth responsible for it comes from.

Last time I checked there wasn't a millennial running the Financial Times?

Just so I can be clear - you're supportive of the men who put their hands up the skirts of paid staff uninvited?

I think there's also a few issues being confused here. It's legitimate to say that some of the women knew what they were signing up for, had maybe experienced it before, were happy to take the money and were confident in their ability to deal with drunken saddos.

There's another point though that why should this be an acceptable event for bosses of big business to be attending? It's men paying for the attention of girls. That may be acceptable in some contexts (which brings us back to the ladies nights in bingo halls etc) but this is the execs and CIOs of top businesses hob-nobbing with each other. What does that say about the status of women in the companies they run? "Sorry love, you're not welcome to come along with the other VPs tonight. Fit birds only! Hahaha!"

As it's their own free time and money, I'd say it acceptable for them to get up to what they please, as long as it's within the law.

I glanced over something earlier where a former worker said they felt like an escort...

Surely that's what they are anyway, judging by the posts people are posting.

As I say, people seem to lose social graces and general respect when they get older and get a bit of money.

And lol who ever posted the male stripper thing earlier - not even close to the same - also strippers can and sometimes do abide by a strict no touching policy (unless they don't want to of course).

I mean sure, if you're lonely, rich and old go for it, get yourself an escort but don't try and hide your behaviour by trying to pick up girls who don't have that sort of stuff in their job description.
