And a Deadpool and Spider-Man collaboration

Or the Disneyfication of Deadpool.

The remerging of Marvel is nice, the rest of the merger, not so much. There’s definitely an argument this deal makes Disney much too dominant, particularly in distribution.

I'll take Mickey Mouse over Rupert Murdoch any day of the week.

Having known a lot of people over the years who’ve worked for Disney and for various Murdoch divisions; I’m not so sure. Sky always seemed like a nice place to work (the newspapers not so much), but Disney seemed to be like a totalitarian state.

It has wider implications but indeed, America is its main reach.

Europe hasn't really had net neutrality...ever. A few countries like the Netherlands have active Net Neutrality legislation, but they're the exception. As long as they're transparent about it (and its not monopolistic), European ISPs can discriminate bandwidth. The reason why its not really an issue is that most people can switch ISPs if they don't like what their ISP is doing, not an option for most Americans who are usually stuck with one provider.

The EU's Regulation on Open Internet Access definitely addresses net neutrality.

Increased competition is definitely a large factor though. I saw somebody criticising Comcast users for complaining but for not cancelling their subscriptions and taking their business elsewhere but they often don't have an alternative.

The evolution of the Mercedes FI steering wheel.
Says a lot really about how F1 has lost its way

Presumably thats just for America..I mean they dont own the net do they?
It'll affect us too to some degree. Mainly by forcing EU IT companies to pay them for faster speeds which will in turn mean that we have to pay more for our subscriptions.. But it's not over yet, net neutrality have been up in court twice before and FCC lost both times... Hopefully this will be the third time lucky that makes them give up trying.

I do find it rather incredulous that I can stream HD pirate video over my connection without slowdown, they must know its going on, surely this blatant stealing has to come home to roost eventually.

Why would you get a day off because someone gets married?

Because we want one and will use any excuse for a free days holiday.

Bank holidays are the best holidays ever.

I certainly don't take issue with becoming a royalist for the day if it meant having a day off.

Dublins new tram cost 100 million Euros a mile to build...370 million for a route, and apparently you can walk faster then the tram, it's causing horrendous congestion and there are sometimes 10m red light waits for it and pedestrians.
I guess its a war on the car, but this isn't good.
Andrew Hughes (24) from Leopardstown said; "I normally have a short wait at the Glencairn stop in the morning because it came every four minutes or so. But now it's only coming every 15 minutes.

"I don't know if that is because they are going to get longer trams but I would rather shorter but more frequent trams."

"I'm certainly not happy about the frequency now," he continued.

"It took me 45 minutes to get as far as Westmoreland Street which is only five minutes walk from my office," said the finance executive.

He moves his homeless shit with a pneumatic pallet truck.

Pretty sound advice to me...appears to be a front for something.
