Whoops scientists have raised dam emission estimates by 25% allowing for more accurate carbon budgeting in the future?

I'd have said 'well done for checking things out thoroughly rather than relying on old assumptions' myself.

Either way, hydro's still very clean. The three gorges dam is the worlds largest energy generation facility and a massive success.

Somehow reassuring that once again the Amazon Black Friday sale is just crappy Chinese stuff that they haven't been able to shift over the year.

Its great if you want a cheapo battery pack for your phone, some crappy leather effect bags or "plated" jewellery. They should sell it out of a suitcase at Waterloo.

As a society we eat too much meat anyway, so I've no problem with banning [some] cows.

No we don't. we eat the exact amount we want to eat.

What we are lacking is an understanding of where that meat comes from and what goes into producing meat.

How do we lack understanding around meat in any way? It's documented down to the very last atom and has been for a long time.

It's problem is that it's too damn cheap for the environmental cost.

Bullshit. I very much doubt most consumers have ever even visited a farm, let alone seen how the meat gets from one to their ready meal.

As for the environmental factors. Happy to put up with it if I can still eat as much meat as I personally wish to.

If that's all you're on about - what relevance is that? Who cares? It makes no difference and is utterly irrelevant to Tom's point.

What point would that be?

Edit, oh yeah. Lost the thread a little. Point still stands though, fuck it, ban cars or long distance commutes too then.

you've never seen the wolfram site? or binomial distributions? tbh I remember the wolfram site when it was just a text box you could put anything in and it would answer you. now it's a combination of encyclopedia, library and university.
