Lego giveaways in the Daily Mail end for 'foreseeable future' - BBC News
I saw this doing its rounds on Facebook thinking 'lol ofc the co-op are gonna do shit their staff says but other companies? Nah.'
Is this shit shaming one political point of view or is it shaming a media outlet that has a reputation for chatting out of its bum?
Must admit I'm not the biggest fan of corporations getting involved in politics (for either side), as it rarely works out well (look at all the New Balance trainers getting burnt in the States at the moment), but that decision is up to Lego itself.
What concerns me more is this campaign to get everyone to stop advertising with the Mail - I am not a fan of it in the slightest, and the Enemies of the People headline was out of order, but at the same time it's a consequence of having an ostensibly free press - I'd much rather have the odd bit of rabid idiocy (again from both sides, as anyone who thinks The Mirror and Guardian are any better need to remove their heads from their arsed), than a single version of the truth RT style.
I think when it comes down to it - it's simply the language used.
I mean the Right traditionally is No immigration, they're all rapists, and they all steal our jobs. Which is negative language.
Whereas the Left is more, all the immigration, there's never any problems every with immigration and they're merely taking up the jobs that we don't take! Which is positive language.
However, both are unrealistic and aren't reality, but from a middle perspective, you can see which approach is more negative and would have issues associating yourself with.
Edit - Oh, and regards to 'the norm politics' I don't think it has a great deal to do with this to be honest, all you need to do is look at headlines from either media source in order to back my point up.
Bit of confirmation bias there old chap, the Left can be just as negative (all Trump voters are racist, as is anyone who wants some sort of control of those coming into the country).

If you have ever been involved in a news story you would know that they are all 90% bullshit 9% supposition and 1% truth. Been involved in two, 1 national and 1 local. Both times the stories were basically made up with only the tiniest shred of truth to be found. Terrible experience both times. That sounds like a fun game. See if you can find the one fact hidden among all the bullshit.
That's just your assless chaps and rainbow t-shirts tho.my balcony looks like a gay pride event.
I...can't...even...
You don't revert to caveman mentality when something needs to be reduced to fine grain? You're so..metrosexual.
