Not true. There are already McDonalds in Florence but none in the central historic area. They are basically bitching about the fact they've been denied a lucrative spot in prime tourist location.

I've been doing a lot more stitched panoramas lately, it's more my groove at the minute, it allows much higher resolution / much larger and immersive prints.

I do it all the time. This is on my phone using the Google Camera app, so the alignment is slightly off, but I find them very useful for exploring new footpaths, routes for cycling, etc.
