I watched it to the end. That's six minutes thirty-seven seconds of my life I'm not getting back

And, even if she was 100% correct, she failed to follow through on her thesis; if cognitive bias makes you racist etc. it doesn't just apply to white people. It can't. But of course that doesn't fit the narrative.

Though I believe society nurtures something embedded in the brain rather than being the root cause.
These things are identified, given a name and a structure, then everyone joins in the rush to distance themselves from it.
Anyone honest enough with their feelings is attacked..as I often am here.
Claiming the high ground of your seemingly immaculate birth with no intrinsic, billion year evolution biases built into your lizard brain, us all very good, I just don't believe them.
Being racist/xenophobic is not wether you are or not, it's a herd decision made at a self morality level or simply something you wish to be your social message to your peers.
It can be diminished by familiarity, but often simply moves to encompass something else.

I think it's prevalent in 'white' countries because generally we take the liberal approach; you're equal to everyone else, regardless of gender, skin colour, religion etc. Whereas if you go to say, Zimbabwe, it's accepted that you'll be treated like shit if you're white (Which is fine apparently, because of Empire and stuff).

As she says even if you're one of those super liberal people that gets outraged when black people are shot disproportionately by the po-po, you go on Facebook and you rage about it, and you don't really do much more about it, if you truly believed in equality, then you'd be up in arms about it; in some places in America, the areas which have a large population of black people ARE being treated like it's a police state; if the rest of the US was treated in the same way, there'd be a little bit more than a few omg facebook posts.

Well you can't deny, nothing is ever solved if everyone in the discussion is lying..firstly we have accept that ethnic minorities are more openly racist than us, especially against each other...the white majority seems to have been forced into some trendy teacher role at a diversity meeting in a rough school, spouting out cliches until the whole meeting turns on them.
White people are less than a 6th of the world population, so it's not about numbers, but power, both soft and hard.
I know she's being hopelessly 'right on', but something has to be done, or are they waiting for everyone to become white enough to get with the program.

So what you're basically saying is that we should drop our liberal approach to the world, an approach that was brought on by atrocities such as World War 2, not just the Holocaust but the en-mass killing in general, trying to build a world where it's safe for everyone, not just the few. Just because some nations aren't following the same route?

I find that approach extremely worrying, I'm proud when you see Syrian refugees on TV saying 'I want to go to Amsterdam, London, Stockholm, because it's safe'

I was wondering how I managed to fill a 1TB drive with films, a few games, various business documents and the odd application. Turns out I had about 450GB of various Windows system backups sat there, hiding in plain sight, doing nothing.

So I deleted them all and am doing a new one. I wish MS would make it easier to backup to a cloud service though (my preference is Google Drive).
