Ever seen any of the ISIS execution videos? That's some very disturbing and twisted medieval stuff.

Pro life tip: never watch them.

Never done, never will. I do watch videos of Isis getting blown away though. It makes me sleep at night

There's a series than humans of new York is running on Iraq/Afghan vets with PTSD, and a common theme is child soldiers - pay them £5 to plant an IED or so.

Makes me wonder why there's very little focus on child soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan when the first thing you think of about African wars are child soldiers.

I guess the appeal to bomb them declines and people start questioning why aren't we going after the people giving them the money chilling in their mansions in Saudi Arabia.

Some of these ISIS execution videos are of children shooting captured adults at point blank range in the head.

There was also one a few weeks ago of a 10yo boy being beheaded. Through some sort of morbid curiosity I've watched some of the execution videos but I'm never ever going to watch that one. How a person can physically do that to anyone, let alone a child...

Also, strapping a suicide vest to a kid and sending him on his way to blow himself up.

(probably nsfw... it's distressing but there's no explosion, they do successfully get him out of the belt)

I'm professionally outraged that the decent, principled, upstanding man-of-the-people leader of the opposition would stoop to such underhanded media manipulation to make a point. Not sure what his point is, but I assume he's making one. If not, then he needs more to do with his time.

Children are children, no matter where they are, they're easily influenced, should they be excused for shooting people in the head? - No, but should they be treated like adults making clear rational decisions? No.

Who said they did? Are you doing a Gaffer special and making up argumentative points out of thin air?

You're special.

Tbf, your response did come across like you arguing against my point.

Anyway, my point still stands - coverage on child anti-western forces is minimal.

I was talking about ISIS videos.

You mentioned children and war.

I mentioned there were children in these videos too, you know, as a "oh yeah by the way". Reel your neck back in.

Did William Wallace use child soldiers though?

And did he produce any videos of them being hung, drawn and quartered that @Wij could wank over?

That was Syrian rebels, who are the good guys to the west this week, the veil slipped and they released a video of them beheading an 11 year old with a small knife.
Will someone please just arm Assad to the teeth so he can wipe out these fucknuts, then Syria can become normal again.
As in dictator torturing Islamic batshitcrazys to death sort of way.

I suspect he is trying to make some sort of point that it would be better if the trains were publicly owned. Mainly as the trains were utterly fantastic when being run by British Rail. They were never overcrowded, always ran on time, all the rolling stock was bang up to date and the workforce didn't walk out on strike every 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, back in the real world, BR were a fucking shambles, and for all the issues we have on the trains now it's a different world to 20 years ago.

It also does make me wonder about him - you know you have a well published husting and will have to take the train, so why not book a ticket and seat in advance?

On second thoughts, let's not go on the train...it is very silly.

Go away and think about whether I am referring to Kurds.

Some of the preparatory actions have been potentially questionable, yes...but the main assault itself against people who have forfeited their right to live is perfectly justified and on the hole, a good thing.

Having said that, they don't really want to boot IS out of a town just for another enemy to take it in the following vacuum so some of the strikes (against other enemy combatants) are understandable.

You really think that they're going after ISIS?

'President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said the operation was aimed against both IS and Kurdish fighters.'

Maybe if they didn't treat the Kurds like it was the medieval period and didn't pursue a domestic policy of neo-ottomanisation, then they'd gain more support. (see Erdogans support areas)

When the Kurds realise that the West has abandoned them, I think we'll see more upset from them.
