This old man just got on the bus carrying a massive suitcase which has airport tags on, then this really hot far East girl followed him on, he sat down and then the girl sat a few seats away, he got up and sat next to her, she's looking out the window and he's smiling and chatting to her.

TL;DR you can buy lots of things on the interwebs

But did he buy her heart? I think not. So what did he buy other than an empty, really hot Russian or Thai, shell?

That's one way to kick-start uncontrollable inflation, I suppose.

Wow, pretty interesting.

I wonder if that means they literally shut the doors to their job centre equivalents etc, so it doesn't work out THAT much more expensive?

This seems to habe been quite widely reported but theres almost no discussions or news about it in Finland

Currently the basic unemployment is an "insurance" so its based on tour income from last 3 years before gradually being lowered to a base level (over 12 months) the idea is that you dont take a massive financial hit immediately so you have time to reorganise and reduce your costs without ending up homeless

It actually would reduce a lot of spending as the people who are already getting more than that would get a cut, it would also likely mean wages are frozen or reduced in most industries

Im sure it will also come with a whole host of residency/citizenship requirements attached so you wont be able to get it from day 1

Even now the basic support from socoal services require x amount of years residency or x amount of months employment to be eligible (the all EU citizens are equal is largely ignored in favour of a Finnish > Nordics > EU > non EU model )

So drop Christianity and move Muslims into places of power, you couldn't make this up.
At a time that we are teetering on chaos, and all they can think is to wobble the rug.

It wouldnt hurt to have a shake up of how the house of lords is organised

If they make the number of religious representatives relate to number of actively religious participants they can hardly complain and non christian religions would still make such a small minority they wouldnt have any control

But perhaps finding an alternative to a bunch of unelected sky fairy worshipping sponges would be better

Why should Christians hold a position of power based solely on their faith though? Thankfully we aren't a Christian country anymore, not really. Not that any religion should be pandered to, fuck the lot of them, they have no place in modern society.

Trust you to twist this into your anti-muslim nonsense. This whole review is about secularising the state further and getting rid of stuff that's being completely ignored by the population at large anyway (like Christian assembly at school that the majority of schools don't follow). As for the House of Lords thing; if you're going to allow representation based on mumbo-jumbo, then it needs to reflect the different flavours of mumbo-jumbo; personally I wouldn't have Bishops or Imams or Rabbis anywhere near the place, but one step at a time...

It is not good on any level to introduce people who fervently believe in their religion AND believe it is superior to everyone elses , when we are trying to introduce a secular state.

We are a christian country cause our head of state is the head of the church or england since henry eight. Unless i missed something.

Yes, well that was the whole point of the fucking review wasn't it? We're not a Christian country and haven't been for quite some time (note, the fastest growing group in the last census wasn't "muslim", despite what Job thinks, it was "no religion", and the reality is the a massive chunk of the "59% Christian" group are about as Christian as The Flying Spaghetti Monster). Allowing blokes in funny dresses to have power and influence in 2015 because Henry VIII wanted to get his legover with some slapper from Norwich in 1522 is not a system of good governance.

While we still get free national holidays based on Christian events then we are a Christian Country. Until Easter and Christmas are just normal days we are a Christian Country. But we do not force any one to believe in what the Country does so it does not matter. I think the bank holidays will eventually be taken away through, seeing as Christmas Lights are being removed due to budgets and not wanting to piss anyone off I think it will be the norm to work Christmas in my lifetime.

No, Christmas & Easter has been hijacked completely.

When was the last time you, or anyone you know went to church on Christmas/Christmas Eve?

While we still get free national holidays based on Pagan events then we are a Pagan Country.

Fixed

Both Easter and Christmas pre-date Christianity...and yes, they were celebrated.

I saw a real road rage incident the other day. this cyclist with all the gear, lycra, camera etc undertook me, chased after another, cut in front of him and dropped his bike and started berating the driver. I'd already clocked this driver as he'd undertaken me in 2 lanes of traffic and cut in. I wasn't bothered, he looked foreign and totally bemused by cyclist. What I couldn't understand was I hadn't seen anything happen and I had travelled the same route with them.

Tuurns out this bloke does this regularly and posts the videos on u tube. Cept the one he posted the other day where he said this woman had turned across him into a supermarket carpark, it was blatantly obvious she was nowhere near him. The police are talking to him.
