Langoustine and scampi are the same

Well, i would assume 'scampi' is a collected term for giant shrimps, if not the one that ruins the mangroves in Asian countries, which they inject with 'water' to make it look bigger.

Langusts looks really disgusting when you buy them frozen as a whole in the store.

They actually make a big deal out of their fries for some reason, and as G said, they're OK, but they give you far too many, I probably only ate about a third of them. I just walked down New Oxford Street and noticed a Shake Shack being fitted out. I'll give it a go next time I'm over.

I've got to admit I'm quite surprised by the renaissance of the burger joint; I kind of assumed they were on the way out as people's tastes moved more healthy/veggie/"street food" etc.

There's a new 'style' catching on here in Stockholm, the Jipster. Clothing a bit like the chav, with expensive training clothes, you know that tracksuit style, and also, it seems to be hip to live in the suburbs also, living the "rough" life.

Fuckers.

Been a thing in the UK for ages.

Mainly very middle-class theatre going students dress up in what you describe and wear hunter wellies too.

Let off mummy and daddys leash

Most chavs are rolling in it, hence the expensive sports brands. They like to moan they haven't got any money to feed their 10 children but the reality is they spend it all on chav cloths and bensons.

Hard up people wear whatever.

No idea why I got a disagree there @Trem

If you look at what Raven posts he aparrently goes to work and then lives in a village, he confesses to barely going into cities to shop etc.

Then he says stuff like this and then says yeah working people have never had it so good under the Tories which is a complete and utter lie.

But I think that applies to a few people here, people that stick their head in the sand and then assume that the rest of the county is doing well because they are.

Probably because Trem lives in Stoke so had plenty of chavs in the local area to base his opinions on?

Also, have you thought that maybe a good portion of the country are doing quite well, and are quite happy? And maybe you assume just because you are apparently miserable and hate everything, you think that applies to the rest of the country too?

Working people haven't had it so good in ages, more work available, higher wages, less tax. Economy doing pretty good so not worrying about whether you will have a job at the end of the year. Every time Labour have been in power in the last 50 years they have fucked it up, every time the Tories have been in tax revenue has increased through more people contributing.

Branded sports clothing is expensive, as are tabs. Doesn't seem to stop chavs from wearing them and smoking like a chimney...so where do they get the money from? Why do they whine they don't get enough money? Even if they don't, who the fuck cares? Get a job or fuck off tbh.

I am sure you will hear the kids in the student union moaning about how hard done by they are and how evil the nasty men in suits are, but they have zero experience to base that idea on.

Home sweet home...

3 day trip to NeuKirch, near Dresden with the missus and baby girl, indirect flights via Munich.

The host (my wife's manager) was very welcoming and nice, she went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant.

Upon our return, we go towards the parking area and as we reach the car, the wife realizes she doesn't have her phone. Panic mode for her, she logs on to her account and tries the locate my phone and ring options - only that she had Data Services off. Double panic, as i ring her phone and nobody answers. Finally someone answers, it's the lost and found guys (hurray!) -- we get into the car with luggage and baby and all, and as we're about to drive away, she realizes she had misplaced the parking token during the frantic search through bags for her phone.

Triple panic, she has me look for a contact number (automated parking), we can't find any, just a notice that 110 EUR fee will be imposed for losing the token. I take the reigns, have her go recover the phone while I wait in the car with our baby girl.

She comes back, I handover the obviously tired and agitated (read - crying) baby to her, and i calmly start sifting through the bags. Minute later, token found, double hurray, let's go home...

So yeah, home sweet home is an accurate relief like feeling, after the evening I just had.

Phew.

I agreed with @Raven and disagreed with you on this particular matter @Gwadien, probably largely because of what bodlar said.

If you are rough you are rough and poor, don't pretend to be that way with your clothes and wear wellies etc with expensive shit because you will end up getting punched, in Stoke anyway.

What was the conversation about again?

Just for. I donno education, giggle. This is my neice's view on the mass shooting yesterday

For everyone calling for more gun control after the recent events in California.. please do your research and use the brain god gave you.
First of all, California has some of the most strict gun laws and requirements for gun owners in the United states.
Secondly, do you honestly believe that if they take away the 2nd ammendment that all the criminals with UNREGISTERED (meaning the government does NOT know they have them to take them anyways) will just be like "damn, I guess I can't shoot up this building because it is against the law"?
Third, as partially stated in the second point, if they outlawed guns, they wouldn't be able to collect all the illegal guns because they are clearly not registered... the government is not going to go door to door with search warrants.
Forth, (and this is for everyone talking about the idiots that leave their guns lay around for children to use) you cannot blame all gun owners for the ignorant few you read about in the paper. Most of us are smart enough to a)keep them put up when not on our person and b)teach our children proper gun safety.
Fifth, gun locks are readily available at police stations for those responsible enough to seek them out.
Sixth, how are we as a whole supposed to fight back to those who illegally own firearms if our right and firearms are taken from us? I don't see me running after an active shooter with a knife to try and take them down, how about you?

Sorry, but enough is enough.

You can't just sit there and blame firearms. The guns don't shoot by themselves. And, most of the mass shootings and accidental shootings are by unregistered gun owners.

We made drugs illegal, only for there to be more of a demand. They are still there. And will always be.

If you think just because they found a way to make owning firearms illegal, that criminals wouldn't have them you need to open your eyes.

Okay, I'm done for now. Sorry not sorry

Donno what to say apart from. Doh.

I don't get the argument of 'When we have guns we can respond to the attackers and shoot them back'

How many times has that happened over the past shootings?

Almost never. The only definitive times it has happened, the "member of the public" has been an off-duty or ex-cop or soldier;

She has me blocked on facebook cause she doesnt like my counter arguements. Lol
Register a new account, link to articles explaining why freedom of speech is intrinsic in the US constitutuon - before gun ownership - and ask her why she thinks it's more important to fight for guns than one of the very founding principles of America :)
